the way i understand it hibernating an OS dumps ram to a file and powers off, so could it be possible to run two OSs “simultaneously” by alternating between hibernations?
I’ve written a guide about how to pirate fonts from a particular subscription service. I’m not sure where I should post it so it can be of help to anyone who is interested. I don’t think the mods would be happy if I posted it here, because it might be too much of a liability for the instance if the company behind...
I’ve been hoping to get Elden Ring up and running before the DLC comes out, but I haven’t had much luck so far. I am a newbie to Linux, currently running Debian 12 w/ GNOME, Ryzen 9 3900X, GTX 1080 Ti....
Panpsychism is the idea that everything is conscious to some degree (which, to be clear, isn’t what I think). In the past, the common response to the idea was, “So, rocks are conscious?” This argument was meant to illustrate the absurdity of panpsychism....

People donate to us all the time, as is how libraries work. Sometimes the books are unpopular, unproductive, harmful, or just low tier....
I have a very, very old laptop with me. I don’t know the exact specs, but it has a single core celeron processor and 4GB of RAM. It’s an old little thing, maybe 15 years old....
I was so confident that WhatsApp was backing itself up to Google ever since I got my new pixel but I just wasn’t. Then yesterday I factory reset my phone to fix something else and I lost it all. Years worth of chats from so many times in my past just aren’t there, all my texts with my mom and my family, group chats with old...
I understand why there are the ones where he didn’t kill himself, but the cameras were destroyed, how come no one thought to think he just walked out? This has been bugging me since it happened....
I’m using Debian 12, Ryzen 7 5700X processor, and Radeon HD 5450 graphics card. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling VLC but it didn’t resolve the issue. Here’s an excerpt from the VLC’s log file:...
