Wash, rinse, repeat. List of ingredients. Wash rinse repeat

The reason we don’t see exploding battery attacks more often is not because it’s technically hard, it’s because the erosion of public trust in everyday things isn’t worth it. (www.bunniestudios.com)

edit: after 20 comments, i’m adding a post description here, since most of the commenters so far appear not to be reading the article:...

“A bomb going 80 mph on the highway exploded.”

Doesn’t give the right information.

And if we’re being pedantic, when a bomb explodes, so does everything around it. Exploding doesn’t require a chemical reaction. It’s the act of tearing apart quickly. So yes, the car exploded.

That’s in English though. Other languages may be different.

Can you confidently say you know the exact chain of custody of your cell phone?

Some killer gets a pager he doesn’t need, sells it to someone to make some cash, who gives it to their kid. Annnnd boom.

surewhynotlem ,

Since you’re changing topics from “how could kids get pagers meant for someone else”…

In war, everyone lies. But one thing I’ve found as an American is that, if you’re killing in another country, you’re probably the worse of the two.

surewhynotlem ,

Because they don’t want to punish people who create things about a random person who later becomes a candidate a year from now.

surewhynotlem ,

Yeah, ok. Badger badger mushroom mushroom. My spoon is too big, my anus is bleeding. Charlieeee, the magical leoplurodon charlieeee.

Every generation has this nonsense. Don’t pretend we didn’t.

“The past is better because I’m used to it”

Did I get that right?

surewhynotlem ,

Nah, that was our Tiktok.

surewhynotlem ,

I did this for years. I even got into the HOA board just to keep them off my back. It was so freeing to not have to mow.

surewhynotlem ,

Landlords are like ticket scalpers. Buy up a scarce resource, provide no real value, and overcharge.

surewhynotlem ,

Why?

surewhynotlem ,

Demand go up. Price go up.

surewhynotlem ,

That’s why they trot out Jill Stein every four years to try and split the vote.

surewhynotlem ,

No. It may be the nature of some subset of people. Those people should die.

surewhynotlem ,

I imagine they like boobs more than straight guys. They don’t like straight guys very much at all.

surewhynotlem ,

You’ve gone to a malicious website. Now you’ve died.

See, the risks of surfing the web incorrectly are slightly different than the risks of creating medicine incorrectly.

surewhynotlem ,

Surely. But let’s be realistic. If you’re poor and sick, you’re broke and have no free time.

surewhynotlem ,

Bastards don’t automatically do everything wrong all the time. Occasionally not screwing up doesn’t make you a good person.

surewhynotlem ,

Also, I’ve seen this specific talking point like three times today across multiple platforms. Did you guys get an update or something?

surewhynotlem ,

If you don’t use exactly the right words, the spell is broken. You have to cast it properly for it to work.

surewhynotlem ,

It’s not about her music, it’s about the conspiracy. The music is just a backdrop to some ridiculously complex multi-year story that she’s weaving through the lyrics, her outfit choices, her boyfriend choices (real or fake), etc.

She’s built a conspiracy cult. And apparently that’s profitable.

How do I alleviate bitterness due to lack of intimacy?

I have given up trying to find a girlfriend. Even though, I am outgoing, have hobbies (I dance, which is actually filled with women), go to parties, talk to plenty of women. But I keep hearing the same thing over and over again: “I am just not so into skinny guys.”...

surewhynotlem ,

You only want to date attractive women. You aren’t attracted to many women. Those ones don’t seem attracted to you.

Does that sound right?

That’s a nonstandard combination, and that’s ok. You might be Ace, but not Aro. An Ace person (or someone elsewhere on the sexuality spectrum) could hold women to a high beauty standard for aesthetic reasons. While still having low requirements for the romantic side (i.e. be willing to compromise to get romance)

Figuring out yourself will then dictate your dating approach. If you are Ace, then finding a beautiful Ace girlfriend is not the same approach as finding a straight one.

All I know is, my desire for sex would (did) easily override some arbitrary beauty requirement. I think most generic straight guys would agree. So if this isn’t happening, it’s worth your time to ask why.

surewhynotlem ,

I’ll stop as soon as it IS normalized, so that those people who actually are Ace don’t waste fallout their life wondering why they’re unhappy.

Why does the USA have so few legal protections for ordinary people, and how can we change that?

I’m just a regular person making about $70K a year in a big city, and I’ve recently felt incredibly powerless dealing with private companies. For instance, my landlord’s auto-pay system had a glitch that excluded my pet rent and water bill. I ended up with over $1,000 in late fees. Despite hours on the phone, it turns out...

It sounds like you need a tenants union.

Local organization is a great option. Not everything needs the federal government to come in and smack people.

We surely can do both, but you personally can start a tenants Union today.

Referring to Admiral Ackbar as trap 😱

surewhynotlem ,

I’d like it to be changed because I don’t like saying "is the slave working? Did you check? To my black employees.

surewhynotlem ,

I say it with a hard R

It’s not obvious to realize this, but the luxury of thinking words are neutral is a privilege.

Think of it this way. If 5% of the time, when a person said “howdy”, they punched you in the face. You would be very wary of anyone saying howdy. Just in case. Now imagine having to live on edge like that 24/7. It wears you down. It’s exhausting.

Well, it costs me nothing to choose a different word besides howdy. And for that cost of $0 I can make someone else’s life less anxious. I know how much anxiety sucks because I’m basically made out of it. So I’m going to do what I can to put other people at ease.

Now obviously black people know that the IT term master and slave are not about them. But they are also conditioned by society that, some small % of the time when those words come up, things go very poorly for them. So yeah, I would be twitchy about it too. Even if my rational mind knew it was silly.

Free water, arson, bricks, and bullhorns. With these four powers combined, I am… Captain Protest!

surewhynotlem ,

We do value education. Look at how much people are willing to pay for private school when they can afford it.

We just don’t value education of other people’s children. That wouldn’t be a good competitive advantage for our own spawn.

Or so many people think. I personally love the idea of education for everyone as it means fewer people resorting to crime with no other option. But an educated populace is a threat to many powerful institutions, so they convince their sheep to vote against it.

surewhynotlem ,

If everyone thought like you, we’d have a much better country.

surewhynotlem ,

Of course. The pork industry in NC is exactly the same. Tobacco as well.

NC has a strong Republican majority in the government with a fairly weak Democrat governor. They make bad decisions. I’m not sad I left.

New Cobalt-Free Silicon EV Battery Is The Best Thing Ever (cleantechnica.com)

“This breakthrough development translates into a remarkable improvement in cell-core energy density, reaching 2,000Wh/L in batteries and approximately 1,700Wh/L in full-size EV batteries – more than double the performance of current state-of-the-art technologies,”...

230 miles on 98 kWh capacity = 0.4260 kWh per mile

Vs

300 miles on 131 kWh capacity = 0.4366 kWh per mile

Is that significant? Eh… But at the same time I wouldn’t throw 500 lb weights in the back and drive around claiming it didn’t impact performance.

surewhynotlem ,

I stopped at 90% ish. Couldn’t get the timing and got annoyed.

Watched the ending and it’s great. I’d recommend it for anyone with more skill or patience than me.

Go to Walmart. Eat whatever you want. Sleep there

If they call the cops on you because of theft or trespassing, there ya go.

Bonus points if you find a way to do this without getting caught and live there a while.

Or start a Tiktok account and a go fund me, and tell your story on TT. Sometimes you can reach the right person near you to do something

The best way to get over this sort of trauma is to invade Poland.

206 up, 20 down.

The nerds have spoken.

I agree with you though.

Defend yourself how? Really imagine the scenario. Someone wants you dead, so they walk up behind you and shoot you. Where is your opportunity for defense?
