Earthbound is such a great game. I didn’t have a lot of snes games as a kid so this one kind of eluded me at the time but I just recently played it and loved it. I did not like JRPGs as a kid (still don’t but was able to still enjoy it as an adult) so maybe it’s for the best I had to wait to experience it

I use my domain name with iCloud+ mail. I self hosted the domain for almost a decade and it’s just easier paying for hosting. I have done it on both O365 and Gmail but they have both nerfed the ability to use custom domains so iCloud it is.

Disapproval has its place in deterring bad behavior. It’s not toxic to disagree with a person. If the only two choices are approval and indifference it promotes toxic behavior as there is nothing to suppress the toxic behavior.

Edit: I understand what you are getting at though and one thing I didn’t like is people using the downvote button as a disagree button. I only ever use it to downvote off-topic, spam, or toxic posts/comments; but I’ve been on Reddit and gotten massively downvoted because I’ve expressed an opinion counter to general consensus (hive mind)

Start following the main boards on your instance. Make the community yourself and start a topic about that subject on a general/main board and add a link to your community. The niche subs on Reddit didn’t come out of nowhere either.

Beanposting seems to be a pretty organic meme rising out of the fact that Lemmy is pretty new and people don’t really mind shitposts yet because there is such good content on Lemmy since the community hasn’t grown too large yet

N64 has a bunch of great games. Mario 64, Banjo, Smash, Mario Party, Turok, Shadows of the Empire. It’s just kind of an awkward system with a smaller library compared to PS1

Anyone used to watch CGR Undertow? They had short 5 minute reviews on seemingly every retro game. I would binge basically any game I had or was interested in around 8-10 years ago
