I used to work at olive garden, it is true that we were told to give less on subsequent bowls (can’t tell you how much was wasted where people ordered a second or third bowl and took like two bites) but not coming back around after… that wasn’t something we were specifically told to do in my experience, probably just had a lazy server.

One thing is the unlimited soup and salad was like $6 and some people would only order water, get like 4-5 refills on soup/salad/water and then tip like a dollar. That is one whole table for an hour+ I could have had sat with someone else who wasn’t being stingy as hell.

On the other hand, tipping culture sucks the company should just pay a living wage instead of the like 2.50 an hour they pay.

They don’t do any of the other bullshit other big game companies do, and $35 isn’t even close to the $60-70 other games with a much lower playtime ceiling charge.

Without actually reading the content itself, I’d hazard it probably wasn’t great for the dev to go off, but I understand how it could be incredibly annoying to have a bunch of people online crying about a small price increase for. A game they likely already owned.

The demand isn’t so much the problem in an in between option, fair regulation and access requirements along with tracking (in the case of guns moreso) would help tremendously.

Definitely though the underlying cause of the desire/need is a separate discussion. Recreational drugs/guns aren’t a complete negative imo, some people just like to experience a different mindset/state or shoot guns, but those that are mentally ill should be able to get help instead.
