Used to deliver for them, can confirm all the above. Some other stuff:

  • Yes there's less of each individual topping when you order a bunch of different toppings, but I promise you that you don't want a normal amount of each topping on your supreme pizza. The center would still be raw, probably even if you put it through twice.
  • The 50% weeks are mostly a scam. It's usually cheaper to use the other good coupons (e.g. mix and match) than to take 50% off normal menu price
  • Unless you've got a big/otherwise pain in the ass to deliver order, a $10 order is just as much work to deliver as a $60 order. I personally tip based off distance rather than total because of it, and most my coworkers also preferred this method.
  • Brooklyn pizzas are just normal pizzas using dough 2 sizes smaller (for example an XL brooklyn is just a medium dough stretched thin). In general if you're looking to maximize food per dollar, normal hand tossed is what you want
  • For the love of God don't buy soda from the store if there's a gas station or something that's not out of the way. It'll be half the price at most.
  • The dishes probably aren't being cleaned properly. If you're lucky your local store has 1, maybe 2 closers who actually give a shit and try to do it right. I imagine that's pretty standard in food service though.
  • If you order delivery 2 minutes before close, you're braver than I. I had a hard policy of don't fuck with peoples food but not everyone does, and you sure as fuck aren't getting it on time.

No, the entire point is that you're free to go to whatever instance you want and/or host your own with your own rules. You're more than welcome to go to one that doesn't defederate, just as every instance owner/admins are free to defederate. It's not how "the fediverse is supposed to operate" because a standard for how the fediverse is supposed to operate doesn't exist.

I really hate to break it to you, but supply isn't the issue, at least not the way you're implying. There's more than enough empty housing for every single person in this nation.

The primary issues are extreme amounts of land/property being bought up by investment firms only to sit empty in order to artificially drive supply down and only higher end housing being built new due to profit margins.

Because at least in theory, lobbying is at the core of a functioning republic. If you and couple neighbors get together to try to convince your county aldermen to fix some potholes, that's lobbying. Any time a person tries to influence their representative, it's lobbying. It's incredibly difficult to have actual codified laws that allow the things you want without also opening up tons of loopholes for corruption.

Because directly receiving money is already illegal. Anything currently legal is so because it's protected by the same things protecting local organizations putting up flyers/billboards/radio ads/etc. Even stricter monetary limits don't really work, as you end up catching things such national humane society ads, because if they contain any messaging regarding support for legislation/wanting new legislation it's considered lobbying.

It's really just an intro to the subject, but Knowing Better has a great video on it. Great leaping off point. The very short and very inadequate TL;DW is essentially that "get the money out of politics" doesn't actually mean anything.

There's actually a fairly large sweet spot where the sub makes a lot of sense (ignoring the fact that subscriptions inherently suck, of course). If you print infrequently enough that your cartridges are likely to dry out, it's generally quite a bit cheaper.

Of course the correct answer for most people is to just buy a laser printer and go to CVS or something the couple timed you need photo quality prints. Don't have to worry about toner drying out

Depending on how broadly we define beer here, you could totally end up with one with a surprisingly high protein content. I've said it from the beginning and frankly I don't think people realize how true it is. They were incredibly lucky that a mob of people actively attacking congress wasn't shot dead to a man.

Not that I think that would have actually been the best outcome, frankly I think that would have started an outright civil war and nobody wins that (not to mention that many innocent people almost certainly would have been caught up in it in the moment itself. Why is it not more common to implement anti-cheat on the server instead of the client? Is that not more secure? I'll forever maintain it used to be one of the best f2p fps games in history. Yeah you had to grind a lot to get new stuff, but pretty much everything considered meta was unlocked pretty early. The wall hack mechanic was just so well done, especially combined with just how much you could tweak everything.

Most mainstream solutions will be quieter than a blower at full tilt (i.e. the normal GPU design on having fans on the face that blow air back into the case). That said, blowers aren't inherently stupidly loud or anything. I've got a reference model blower 5700XT and have the fan curve set that I can't ever hear it with my (open back) headphones on and never really go above 80C. If I said fuck it I could turn the fan curve up and have it sound like an original Xbox 360, but my temps sure would drop!
