I’ve got two, one, is we love katamari, which I’m currently playing the rerelease of on steam. If he hated it then why didn’t he change it? Who would have questioned him, the guy had nearly unreigned power and could have easily changed it. I never said Hitler was a socialist. He was just selfish (among other unsavory things).
Regardless, since this is quite offtopic I will refrain from posting further here. Perhaps if a future topic arises we may meet again in that thread.
I don’t see what the big deal is. I store all kinds of sensitive information in plain text. SSNs, credit card numbers, birthdates and religious and political affiliation information.
The guy I bought it all from said it was okay, he stores it in plain text, too. (I’m joking, of course! Any information about you all that I’ve bought on the dark web, I’m storing responsibly.)
“And so I come full circle on this response and just want to encourage you with some substance that we are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be,” he said.
I have no doubt that he’s lying and would implement this in a heartbeat, but the fact that he’s saying “I’ve never even heard of these guys” is telling. Even an idiot like trump can see this shit is toxic to a vast majority of Americans.
the fact that he’s saying “I’ve never even heard of these guys” is telling
He says, staring at the camera with a poo-eating grin, winking and transitioning to a speech about how he’s met so many “great” americans who are going to help “take our county back”…

I spent a year making my company’s iOS apps accessible (meaning usable for the blind and people with vision disabilities). I had to do a lot of weird shit either because of bugs in Apple’s VoiceOver technology or because of the strange way in which our code base was broken up into modules (some of which I did not have access to) and I would always put in comments explaining why I was doing what I was doing. The guy doing code review and merges would always just remove my comments (without any other changes) because he felt that not only were comments unnecessary but also they were a “code smell” indicating professional incompetence. I feel sorry for whoever had to deal with that stuff at a later point.
Are we talking about the Taliban that ruled over a country that was invaded by the US simply because they were “looking for some guy” (a guy the Taliban actually offered to deliver to them beforehand) that they eventually found in Pakistan? The Taliban that also made the US run out of Afghanistan with their tails between their legs after leaving a cardboard cutout of a military there to fix the mess that the US caused?
That Taliban?
Yeah… I can see why USians would be so upset about that.
I rejected a window cubicle because the view was stressful and I avoid glass elevators, but that’s really it.
You’re describing one of my pilots. Seriously. Guy won’t climb past the third rung on a ladder, but flies a balloon.
I recognize the anxiety you’re describing, and I can’t promise that you won’t experience it on a balloon flight but… I crew on about 100 flights a year, 6 passengers per flight, most first-time flyers. When I say it’s a different experience, I’m not talking about mine. I’m basing that on the more-than-a-few conversations I’ve had with people who have described themselves as afraid of heights.
I guess what I’m saying is, if you’re interested in balloons, the community has room for you.

Maybe my would-be killer gets caught because their psychologist studied the killer’s writings and noticed a troubling pattern.
Guy wants to kill me. Guy complains about me to their therapist without mentioning killing me. Therapist thinks “wait, this sounds like something I’ve read…”
And what they read was some lunatic’s writings that were released. Therapist is then able to report their concerns via appropriate channels and medicates my would-be killer, and I live another day.
Last November, Israel’s official social media accounts shared a photo of a smiling Israeli soldier proudly holding a rainbow flag amid the rubble in Gaza, where over 10,000 Palestinians – mostly women and children – had been killed in the weeks following October 7....
What the fuck is he actually talking about? I have no fucking clue how the US is full of people that read this shit and go, “yeah politics and I am an American Republican this guy knows the truth.” Like how did we get to this kind of stupidity?
If there any mods reading through here, I might suggest a rule asking folks to use their best judgment to include a similar indicator in similar circumstances.
I’m not much of an “/s” guy, but I think these six letters (parody) can avoid misleading without ruining the fun :)
What does duration have to do with anything? Why are you speaking on behalf of Ukrainians who are actually the ones defending their families and doing the fighting and who know what Putin is like from personal experience?
Real guarantees of protection like a pathway to NATO? Yeah, Russia kind of interrupted that my guy.
I say again: All I want to know is if Corbyn is so confident in his ceasefire plan that he’d put himself on the Frontline if he’s wrong. If he’s right, then he has nothing to fear… Riiiighhht?
Not quite. I said that was the main difference, but if we go into details, the physics of the thing, it’s a bit more complicated. The guy who invented the aeropress, afaik, tried to make a handmade espresso replacement. He didn’t succeed, but the way the aeropress works is a hybrid of immersion, percolation and pressure brewer, whereas the french press is all about immersion and that it’s. It has the plunger, but that’s for filtering, nothing else.
If anything, I think the aeropress is closer to a moka pot than anything. But it’s its own thing, honestly.
I realize this is a Linux community, but I was wondering why you still hate Windows. I mean, I love Linux, but I will not argue that it’s more convenient to the average person in most use cases to use Windows, I recently had to switch back to Windows and I realized how convenient it all was and how I was missing so many things...
You write like you just came here to be angry at people who’ve made a personal decision to leave Windows like it affects you, and that’s gonna help neither you nor us.
At no point in my comment did I say you “write a single command.” I’m saying basic, every day things that I do are point and click. I want a new program? I open my distro’s app store, which is a GUI, and click download on the app I want. I want to play a game I have? I click play on Steam or Lutris. You know. With a mouse. No typing involved, my guy.
It also sounds to me like you’ve run into some real fucking assholes when you needed help. And unfortunately, they’re out there. But that isn’t all of us. I hope one day your negative first impression of our community changes, but it never will if you keep engaging in bad faith like this. So please stop.
whats something that brings you back to your childhood happy place?
