Still returning 404 for me and searching directly on kbin doesn't give me results, sadly. Could it be also an issue with caching on my end? Like, do I need to clear cache and cookies? Would be odd, but I don't want to dismiss it as a requirement.
We went through a phase a while back of playing games “together” which meant one person controlling and both of us deciding where to go / what to do. Works really well for slower-paced and more explorey games (Outer Wilds being the pinnacle, go play Outer Wilds).
Anyway we tried to do this with a game called Heaven’s Vault, but other half wasn’t enjoying it so we stopped. I’ve just picked it back up again and decided to play through it myself, and it’s so odd and unique I figured it’s worth a mention.
It’s a sort of sci-fi archaeology narrative puzzle game where you explore and translate a language to piece together the story. How everything plays out depends on your choices, and I’ve just gone through a sequence in which, from what my little robot buddy told me, I appear to have made a very rare decision indeed so we’ll see how that works out.
The controls are awful and sometimes it feels like the game is just playing itself while you watch, but the language puzzles are compelling and the world-building is fantastic, I’m really looking forward to getting further into it and answering some questions!
Yeah, Oracle trying to brand itself as “the good guy” is certainly an odd turn of events. I don’t trust them, but I guess we’ll see what they end up doing.
The Mandalorian is probably the best star wars show out there at the moment. There is a world-of-the-week vibe to it, but like most modern shows the primary focus is on the overarching plot and characters that recur. That said, if you liked Andor I think you’ll thoroughly enjoy The Mandalorian.
If you like animated shows, Futurama is a classic. If you want something a bit more obscure and odd, Final Space is a good and funny show too. That’s starting to stray pretty far away from Star Trek other than it taking place in space though.
I love the Strange Planet cartoons, but just FYI the author, Nathan Pyle, is unapologetically pro-life, publicly engages in some really harmful rhetoric surrounding women’s reproductive rights, and refuses to listen to scientifically irrefutable facts regarding abortion, just because he and his wife are Christian. He says they vote Democrat anyways because they’re “troubled by what the republican party has become.” But somehow I really really doubt that. I wouldn’t be surprised if they supported the dismantling of Roe v. Wade under the guise of freedom of religious beliefs. The odds of them believing in the separation of church and state while simultaneously attending events like the March for Life are slim to none.
Oddly enough, I managed to find some really cheap gum. Usually $4.50 on sale at the shops but I got 6x bottles / packs of it for 12 bucks. Pretty happy finding little bargains like that!
It is not surprising that a community that associates and labels itself with a negative aspect of themselves would devolve into an irrational and hateful space. “Involuntary” means against one’s will, which in this context implies an entitlement to sex. No one is entitled to love and affection. And instead of working on themselves, or going outside, “incels” choose to feel bad on the internet and congregate and reinforce their beliefs when they should be meeting new people and socializing. The only social interaction they’re getting is from their classmates, many of which are physically active horny guys who are fucking lots of different girls and naturally that leads to envy. Most of these guys I guarantee are perfectly normal dudes, but they game all night as soon and they get home from school. It’s not uncommon for these guys to lose their virginity in their 20s when they start working for a living and the odds even out.

That would be fantastic, but it’s really hard for me to have that much faith in corporations. We’ll see though. I was really looking forward to seeing Bethesda make another RPG for PSVR, but I’m sure the odds of that happening now are less than zero thanks to Microsoft.

Andrew Robinson clarified later on that Garak’s first interaction with Bashir was 100% hitting on him and his character was intended to be pan at first. They made the characters so close in early seasons because they were building up to an actual onscreen Garashir romance, IIRC. I personally thought it was a bit odd on my first watch through, I noticed they were being paired especially close together, but then nothing came of it. But on later watch throughs it’s easy to see that they totally were going in that direction. It only didn’t happen because Rick Berman put a stop to it and sometime around season 4 or so you’ll notice they both suddenly drift apart and get girlfriends. In Garak’s case, a totally implausible and forced relationship with Ziyal.
It could have been a groundbreaking 90’s gay romance, but they pulled back from it.
... the Court finds the FTC has not shown a likelihood it will prevail on its claim this particular vertical merger in this specific industry may substantially lessen competition. To the contrary, the record evidence points to more consumer access to Call of Duty and other Activision content. The motion for a preliminary injunction is therefore DENIED.

The Debian GNU/Linux FAQ
Chapter 3 Choosing a Debian distribution
3.1 Which Debian distribution (stable/testing/unstable) is better for me?
If you are a desktop user with a lot of experience in the operating system and do not mind facing the odd bug now and then, or even full system breakage, use unstable. It has all the latest and greatest software, and bugs are usually fixed swiftly.
3.1.5 Could you tell me whether to install stable, testing or unstable?
Testing has more up-to-date software than Stable, and it breaks less often than Unstable. But when it breaks, it might take a long time for things to get rectified. Sometimes this could be days and it could be months at times. It also does not have permanent security support.
Unstable has the latest software and changes a lot. Consequently, it can break at any point. However, fixes get rectified in many occasions in a couple of days and it always has the latest releases of software packaged for Debian.
3.1.6 You are talking about testing being broken. What do you mean by that?
Sometimes, a package might not be installable through package management tools. Sometimes, a package might not be available at all, maybe it was (temporarily) removed due to bugs or unmet dependencies. Sometimes, a package installs but does not behave in the proper way. When these things happen, the distribution is said to be broken (at least for this package).
3.1.7 Why is it that testing could be broken for months? Won’t the fixes introduced in unstable flow directly down into testing?
The bug fixes and improvements introduced in the unstable distribution trickle down to testing after a certain number of days. Let’s say this threshold is 5 days. The packages in unstable go into testing only when there are no RC-bugs reported against them. If there is a RC-bug filed against a package in unstable, it will not go into testing after the 5 days. The idea is that, if the package has any problems, it would be discovered by people using unstable and will be fixed before it enters testing. This keeps testing in a usable state for most of the time. Overall a brilliant concept, if you ask me. But things aren’t always that simple.
tldr: “The goal of the Debian project is to produce Stable”. Sid is essentially a rolling release, it’s nothing like Fedora Rawhide in the old days when was essentially a testbed for Red Hat but it’s not meant to be as smooth as, let’s say, Arch or Tumbleweed. Testing in the other hand isn’t merely some layer between Unstable and Stable, it’s part of a bigger project, Testing exists for the sake of Stable, not for the sake of Testing. Same logic applies to Unstable but you do achieve some level of “just works” when you’re just pushing all the latest software, after all Debian also has Experimental but you should still expect breakage when something truly major happens.
I can wear a dress to work and nobody criticizes me. I’d be really sad if I had to wear pants all the time, they’re just not as comfortable. Let’s normalize pretty dresses for dudes!
It’s not like OP is saying you have to wear a skirt, just that they personally feel bad for men who have to wear pants. No one is forcing you to wear a skirt, lol.
I guess they think all gamers are really into LGBTQ+ stuff, since everything gets rainbow lighting. It’s a bit odd, since that seems to be more sysadmins than gamers, but both demographics are into building computers so I guess it overlaps enough.
Police got these super bright LED lights here recently (Germany). When I drive on a countryside road at night and police is in the incoming traffic, I am blinded for at least 15 seconds. I have to stare at my hood and the right strip of the road directly in front of me in order to not just veer off.
I wonder whether I’m just oddly sensitive to light or if someone really fucked up. They are way too bright.

Kinda, but not really… if you are a user who has had your account for more than 5 minutes and you’re not a troll, odds are you never run into those rules.
