It's hard learning you're living with a disability and didn't even know. And you don't know anyone else IRL that has the disability. So there's always this nagging impostor syndrome of "maybe I'm not really disabled", or this uneasy feeling like you have no feedback if you're living disabled life "right" or something.

@arcadetoken And for me as a then 68yr old, discovering my autistic self; now nearly 70.
But, we aren't alone. We have a whole online community with which to compare ourselves. We all find similarities with other Autists, and AuDHDers, and ADHDers. @actuallyautistic

Do you find open source games interesting/good thing as a gamer?

@games I am a game developer working on game called Mushy Score. I decided that my niche would be to create open source games. I think these could be helpful for developers or teachers to teach about games and how they are made. Most open source games are small game jam games, but there are few “real games” that are open source like 0 A.D. and Doom. As a non-developer do you think open source games could be good thing?

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is the best mobile game I’ve played since FTL and that was only available on tablet. It’s a wonderful game. I like it so much that I sent the developer $10 just as a sign of appreciation.

Absolutely, I honestly find the trope of penetrating into repetitive grey dungeon a really unappealing theme for an entire game but Shattered Pixel Dungeon just has such a tight core gameplay loop I end up enjoying myself.

@elonjet how does that compare to a typical SpaceX launch of another batch of Starlink datellites?

One thing I never thought about is how the longer a scientist is out of work (due to war, political instability, etc) the more likely it is that they’ll be lost to science (in other words, the less likely they are to return to scientific work when they can). That could potentially be like a chilling effect on steroids.

giotras OP ,

@will_a113 and let us also remember the fact that scientists, in contexts of social degradation or conflict and occupation, may be forced to be co-opted by crime, terrorism or occupying forces
