@atzanteol All's good. Yea, reason for the post was that even though I took the partitions offline it wouldn't still let me resize. So I think the best next move would be just booting into a USB and see if it lets me.
The whole disk well, only the boot is separated. The rest of the partition has the whole space controlled by LVM. Interestingly even though that may be the setup something was just rejecting my resize request.

Does anyone have sci-fi book suggestions that are more sci-fi utopia and world building?
I have grown up on sci-fi dystopia and I love it but since we're currently living in one I want to read something uplifting. Collection of short stories would be awesome too!

@jessamyn@shom@bookstodon now that I think about it, there were some parts where I wasn't sure I wanted to continue because of that content. I don't remember whether it had a content warning up front, but if not, it could have used one.
I've been enjoying Nexomon- Extinction so far, it's a sassy game that's quite fun to play! The game mechanics work as intended and there were only a few things which I questioned before an NPC provided an answer. Leveling up my Nexomon seems like a potential slog though, I've gotten used to experience sharing in Pokémon games; I must unlearn this behavior. There are cores which can act like an Exp Share, which is nice because there are two party members that don't need to hog a large chunk of experience! I've been juggling those cores around to passively level up Nexomon which were behind in levels while using stronger creatures to tank damage.
I appreciate the game's aesthetics because it reminds me of older Pokémon games, while remaining unique. The setting matches up with the desperate situation this world is currently in as there are settlements and camps throughout the land outside of their one big city. Humanity seems to be close to potential extinction. Nexomon Tamers are responsible for desperately keeping the wild Nexomon at bay so others can labor on in safer surroundings. I'm going to keep playing today and get further in! As the need to know what happens next is strong, I felt that similarly with Coromon too.
It certainly wasn't a well-made novel, too much bleeding from the wounds, but none the worse for that. It has an intensity and sharpness, and sometimes it's better not to blunt the edges of a story with artifice.
Iowa Senate File 538- gender transition procedures related to minors strips providers of Medicaid funding from Sept 18 forward and doesn't allow Medicaid to be used by clients for gender affirming treatment. If a counselor has a transgender client, and has used the gender dysphoria code and many others (7 pages of ICD codes) then they will be retroactively stripped of funding. I am so angry for clients and for providers. As a clinician, I feel so mad that states are telling transgender youth in lower SES that they can't be who they truly are, and now they can't even talk to a counselor. It would be interesting to hear how many of these institutions do offer a TT position.
I think for the equivalent Wellcome ECF program, a proleptic appointment is fairly rare, although not unheard of - we have an ECF with a proleptic, although they had already done a (short) postdoc before getting the ECF.
