He has an echo-chamber where nobody can tell him to GTFO and that’s literally the only thing he’s ever getting out of it. That’s true, but I’d imagine running a site like twitter actively costs money. If advertisers aren’t paying, who is? Do they go to their investors and ask for money? For how long could Elon afford to run Twitter with all of its development costs?

This will have very little effect on SF in the long-term 😂🤣 All of their staff that was here are going to stay here - they’re not going to follow fucking X to whatever ass-backwards state Musk chooses

So, to recap:

  • we have a huge office that will eventually bring in another major company,
  • the area keeps all of its best talent, and
  • we get rid of the grifter that regularly refuses to pay their rent/lease, taxes, and insurance bills?

Texas is 50th in the US for quality of life. How they managed to be worse than the other Gulf states is baffling. Abbott and Paxton have managed to turn Texas into a raging dumpster fire. If Texas actually left the US, it probably wouldn’t even be able to get a membership in BRICS.

At this point, for how he treated his employees, we can assume that most of the ones left are visa hostages that would be deported the day after being fired or incompetent people that faked their way to the spot and can’t find another job that pays the same. I’m guessing some of them (if on work visas) don’t have a lot of mobility. That doesn’t mean they will be as productive as someone else. Seeing colleagues go to other companies and being treated better on day one has a toll on worker morale.

That study is really light on information. I’d love to see more useful data if anyone has seen it. Like 20% of people who ever tried it ended up with ulceration? I know that’s not what it’s implying but that’s preposterous. We get one guy who started having problems after 3 years of use. He used ketamine for another two years and ended up with serious issues. That’s crazy, but where was he on the scale of once a week to Matthew Perry?
