Their only post violates rule 2, and probably violates lemmy.world rule 8 (misinformation).

Somebody please show them to the door.

List of URLs submitted to Reddit on this domain:

old.reddit.com/domain/reclaimthenet.org/

As best I can tell, it seems to be mostly material related to conspiracy or political promotion of Donald Trump.

I’m also not incredibly sanguine about some of the Reddit users regularly submitting material from the domain. For example, /u/ExtHD is submitting material from this domain and from alethonews.com, like “Georgia to apologize for starting 2008 war | The country will find the strength to apologize to the Ossetians for the “bloody conflict” and strive to restore trust and unity between the two brotherly nations”. That looks kinda like Russian information campaign stuff to me.

The first Wayback Machine snapshot of the top-level webpage on this domain shows it promoting Laura Loomer’s stuff (the woman who was recently in the news as being responsible for the “pet-eating Haitians” thing).

United Airlines to Provide Starlink-powered Wi-Fi For Free on all flights

mysticpickle , (edited )

Remember when the assholes at United overbooked a flight and sent someone to knock a doctor’s teeth out and carry him off a plane? The doctor refused since he was on his way to oversee the opening of a clinic he founded for veterans.

He and his wife started the clinic as a way to thank American servicemen and women, because he was plucked out of ocean waters by the U.S. Navy as he fled communism in his home country of Vietnam about 44 years ago, he said.

Yeah. This will make up for it. Fuck United Airlines.

Coworker: There’s a study in Denmark where they were able to train ten penguins to do clerical work. Three of them make as few errors as humans.

Upper Manager Excellent. Lay off the entire office staff and find us four-hundred penguins.

praise_idleness ,

The idea and the execution is really cool.

But it sucks. On-demand is just plain better than fixed channels.

sugar_in_your_tea ,

Exactly. Channel surfing sucks, and every time I go to a hotel or something, I go straight to the TV guide so I don’t have to search for something to watch, and most of the time I give up.

Just because you send me malware after some text I wanted to read (in http response), don’t give you rights to force me to execute the malware.

Just because I have your book (or page) and look at part of it doesn’t give you the right to force me to read it in full or dictate how I’m reading it.

I have every right to reveal/read only part of the book/page. We didn’t sign any agreement, if you want me to first look at the part you want to or agree to some license nothing stopping you to do, stuff like paywall or subscription exists…

OpenAI: "We think there is room to make search much better than it is today. We are launching a new prototype called SearchGPT"

Redex68 ,

No it actually wasn’t. Idk if you used basically any search engine nowadays but SEO bullshit has destroyed useful results for like 90% of searches.

Subverb ,

I use paid search engine kagi.com; search results with no ads or “promoted” crap.

Seeing search results without all the advertising is shocking the first few times you do it. It’s amazing how much advertising pollution has crept into Google’s search results.
