They started treating schools like prisons after columbine. Taking away bookbags. Treating students like criminals. Having rent-a-cop harass kids. Not to mention shooter training and underpaid teachers. And also this war on woke BS with book bans and continual changes to the educational material so kids are learning about atrocities from one source while their history book glosses over it.
Republicans don’t get elected when the constituents are educated. So instead of changing their platform to align with educated opinions, they decided to dumb down the population.
They’ve been doing it for decades and it’s finally all coming to a head.

There’s a new rule at my daughter’s middle school this year that children are not allowed to go to extracurricular activities (aside from sports for some reason) unless accompanied by a parent. What the fuck?
In January, Louisiana enacted a law that requires website operators to implement age verification technology if their site consists of 33.3 percent or more material on a site that’s “harmful to minors.” The laws typically define content that’s harmful to minors as appealing to prurient interests, and that consists of “pubic hair, anus, vulva, genitals, or nipple of the female breast; Touching, caressing, or fondling of nipples, breasts, buttocks, anuses, or genitals; Sexual intercourse, masturbation, sodomy, bestiality, oral copulation; flagellation, excretory functions, exhibitions, or any other sexual act.”
If they can’t ban guns, they should ban conservatives instead. Problem solved.

Everyone should be earning more… there was an article awhile back that said the rich have siphoned off $50 trillion in wealth since the 70s. That’s why wages haven’t kept up with productivity.
