Ok so if sentencing is July 11, what happens on that day? If the sentence includes imprisonment, does he go straight from court to jail?
He van and will appeal before then though right? If other cases are any indication he’ll file an appeal which will delay any outcome until after November.
When I saw this headline, I thought they meant extraordinary as in “Oh cool, freak weather event almost killed me” or “fun, bank fucked me over for no reason, now I don’t get to eat today.”

I just learned my 60 year old mother in law has been moonlighting as a janitor. Only learned because she injured herself in exhaustion. Her reason: needed the cash for her student loans.
So have I, guilty on 1 or more counts, will be sentenced to serve multiple 4 year terms concurrently, then spend a decade challeging and appealing the ruling and the sentencing.
Not quite… There were only 2 states that could convict without a unanimous jury and New York wasn’t one of them.
What the judge said was that there are 3 different ways you can convict, but the jury doesn’t have to be unanimous on any of the three.
So if 7 jurors decide option 1 makes him guilty, and 3 jurors like option 2 better, and 2 go for option 3, that’s still a unanimous vote for guilty. They just disagree on how they got there.
It seems like the jury is taking the process at least fairly seriously, and that the “We the jury” line, makes a clear statement that they themselves see themselves as “on the same team”.
If guilty, whats your over-under on # of counts? I think if I’m the defense, this gives me extreme pause. I think Trumps out was getting at least one renegade juror who intended to hang the whole thing. The note implies to me that this isn’t the case.
The McDonald’s across from my apt building recently closed despite having a line around the corner of the block for weekend drive through in the mornings.
Probably some real estate value fuckery. The individual McDonald’s places are “restaurants”, but McDonald’s the corporation is essentially a real estate broker.
Speaking of real estate fuckery, didn’t Red Lobster just sell their land with an indefinite lease back? Immediate infusion of cash to affect bonuses with long term operating expenses way the fuck up.
Have had prime for the last 8 years but it’s too much now. And the constant nagging to get me back on it is annoying enough that I don’t even want to shop there any longer. Not that it’s much better of a company but I’ve switched to ordering shit on Walmart, their online store has mostly the same exact shit that Amazon has on it. If you live close enough to one then you get same day delivery on certain things too with thier Walmart Plus which is their version of prime.
Yeah, I have to say that when I tried them, I was very pleasantly surprised by Walmart’s delivery services. They’re well ahead of Amazon. I don’t know where Amazon is going to go with this drone delivery stuff, and maybe Amazon can pull ahead. But as things stand, Walmart makes good use of their local infrastructure to do deliveries of even stuff like refrigerated food, lets you select a time window for delivery based on demand (price varies) and gives you a one-hour delivery window, which is way better if you want to pick the stuff up without it sitting around for a long time at a doorstep.
I was particularly happy when I discovered that I could get bottles of soda (heavy, mostly water) delivered inexpensively.
But what Walmart doesn’t have is the huge inventory. For what Walmart does have, they’re great. But Amazon’s got more stuff.
