Oof. I misunderstood the title and thought Desantis went to the vigil and booed at the people there. Can’t say it would’ve been out of character. As for the actual story, Florida deserves better leaders. Huge respect for the people there fighting for change.
ABC11 learned all Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools are in secure mode – meaning all building doors are closed and locked. The school district said elementary schools will not dismiss students until there is an all clear given at UNC.
“As a safety precaution, schools have been directed not to release students to their families at this time,” the district said.
Chapel Hill Transit reports all buses in the area have halted their routes for the time being. UNC’s Board of Trustees’ special meeting and the Faculty Executive Committee’s meeting are both canceled for Monday afternoon.
I’m a fan of looking up articles information especially in regards to far left media. Far right usually is pretty easy to tell it’s fake because it’s so outlandish and off the cuff.
I looked into some of the guys mentioned in this article to confirm if they’re far right or if they’re actually just some old guy bitching about the way things used to be and going a little too far… No. It was like hardcore racists making insane remarks online. Some of them I couldn’t find but look it up. One of them has a website. Insanity.
