I’d be happy hanging out mostly in my basement since it’s relatively toasty in the winter and downright chilly in summer, but I just can’t bear the lack of sunlight. I need regular bright daylight to keep the depression away.
I’ve found vivariums or houseplants with sunlight LED’s to be a great way to bring that indoors. (I’m practically a vampire, so that’s been a struggle regardless of where my room is.)
Vivariums are great and relatively low maintenance if they’re set up right. (and they’re really not hard to set up, to be honest.)

Shit. So a quick search says a brain weighs 1.5kg and 0.5% is 7.5g. A credit card weighs about 5g. We have more plastic in our brains than there is in a card?
The article mentions that the quantity in 2024 was 50% higher than in 2016 - which is a high increase for just 8 years. This development probably doesn’t slow down, it may even get faster. How much plastic will be in our brains in another 8 years?

22mo isn’t a baby or infant, which I only bring up because that’s always the case people envision but you need to really pay attention to this stuff even as your kids get older. It’s so fucking tragic when the stuff happens either way.
I hesitate to harp on it too much because it’s borderline semantics, but again, I just think it’s good for people to know that it’s not just babies that are at risk. Until a kid can get themselves out of a car on their own comfortably AND has the wherewithal to do so, it’s a risk.
That judge should clearly have been removed from the bench, instead of just being asked to attend some sort of behavior class with pay. The usual slap on the wrist with a feather for the privileged.
He clearly lacks a sense of scope, and limitation to his powers. And apparently has extreme views on punishment for nothing burgers that aren’t even illegal. He also has a complete lack of empathy and understanding how strongly punishment can influence a person, especially a young person, and especially a person being punished harshly despite doing no harm.
He is completely unfit to be a judge.
I hope the girl wins her lawsuit, and the judge will receive some true punishment through that.
Whenever I hear about a shitty judge, DA, or cop that’s where my mind jumps immediately. Once one of these people have their judgment or integrity called into question, every case they had any involvement in should also be questioned.
In April, the Bucharest Tribunal ruled that the prosecutors’ case file against the four met the legal criteria and that a trial could start but did not set a date for it to begin.
I wonder if the possibility of a future raid was the reason for not setting a trial date. I hope they find even more damning evidence to use against him and he goes down hard.
I like to think that alpha males are meant to be surrounded by other alpha males. Prison is the best place for them to gather, no stupid woman in a high-security detention centers.
