I’m all in on the fuck cars thing. I’ve wanted to get involved locally advocating for improved public transit and bike lanes. It’s affected how I’ve ranked local candidates while voting.
That said, this happened in Texas. The vast majority of that state is so carbrained that there aren’t any viable alternatives to driving right now, and for a mother with kids it’s so far away it’d take decades of work even if all of the Texas government woke up tomorrow and dedicated themselves to alternatives to cars. I don’t drive and I live in one of the best cities for cyclists in the US and I’d still find it tough to go without a car if I had kids.
In context the fuck cars comment just kinda comes across as victim blamey, tbh.
That argument applies to virtually the entire country, zoned specifically to sell cars, with few recent exceptions. I’m not blaming the mom for that situation, I’m not sure why anyone would think that. This is just another death that seems to at least partially implicate big oil, big auto, and corrupt politicians.
Because it’s extremely fucked up to assume the person had a choice. Do you generally go around impoverished countries telling children they were stupid for choosing to be born in such a poor area?

This a-hole judge should be removed from the bench and fired for this. Or at least forced to undergo the same treatment.
Has this judge even been to court before? If you’re not there to sue or be sued(or tried) or to watch someone for a specific reason, then court is boring as hell. Instead of punishing someone who fell asleep, congratulate those who stayed awake - that’s far more worthy of notice.
We’ll never get over our worship of them, because it is engineered.
The media machines they own, including every market news site, fills every stream with deceptive articles of the 8 things billionaires do that made them rich and the 7 the plebs do that stop them from being billionaires, constantly defying them while shaming you for not being like or serving them better.
The natural state for any society where the elites live large while the masses struggle to survive is to DESPISE the elites, whether violent recourse would be suicide or not.
The love/deification for our elites by many of those they oppress is part of their engineered propaganda to keep it that way with their bully pulpit artificially, and that pulpit is more than loud enough to drown out and ruin the credibility of any prominent voices of reason. Easier for them to maintain the market capitalist machine like this than through overt slavery, they just convince the masses it’s in their interests to self-enslave.

They can’t wait to start another proxy war, this time with China. They are encircling China with military bases and outposts and then constantly harp on “China’s aggression”. Fucking disgusting.
Chinese aggression like ramming ships in international waters where they are making imperialistic claims to territory that doesn’t belong to them? Yeah.
And the many many ‘shipping ports’ they’ve built for poor nations with contracts that state they will gain control in the event they can’t pay. Just a coincidence all those ports are also capable of docking war ships.
