Totally ending democracy. Which is bad. Trump said HE would end Democracy, which is good. But the Democrats sound like Democracy. which is bad, but “ending Democracy” is a way you can attack democrats, which is good. But Trump said he would be ending democracy, which is good. But we can eat ice cream, which is good, but we’re out and only have frozen yogurt, which is bad, but we have crushed up cookies and sprinkles, which is good. But the cookies have arsenic in them. Which is bad. But they are sugar free, which is bad, unless you have diabetes, which is also bad, you don’t have diabetes, which is good, but you have PRE diabetes, which is bad, but you can get out of work for extra doctors visits, which is good, but you have to pay the co-pay. Which is bad. But your wallet is old leather and smells like your grandpa, which is good. But your grandpa died 14 years ago, which is bittersweet, and a touch melancholy.
”And he is really into Pokemon cards right now, he’s going through a Pokemon phase… I mean he’s really into it, so he is trying to talk to me about Pikachu and I am on the phone with Donald Trump, I’m like ‘son, shut the hell up for 30 seconds about Pikachu,’” Vance told the podcast.
Wow. Maybe Vance should have gotten some stability in his career before he had kids. Maybe figured himself out a little better and grown as a person until he was ready.
Children are a life-altering obligation, after all. Maybe Vance would have been happier if he focused on his career first. Of course, that’s a deeply personal matter, and I would never assume that I know better than someone else what is best for their life.

The program allows up to 30,000 people into the United States each month from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela if they have sponsors and meet other conditions.
I actually looked into this one, was honestly surprised she’s registered as Independent, not Republican. Can’t really find more info on her at the moment aside from her resignation so can’t say for sure if she worked with GOP at all or just was a terrible person for some other reason.

Remember that this is just one case in isolation. US-based data hoarders like Google, Meta, Microsoft, and so on are also regularly sued for various privacy law violations. And they all deserve it equally, TikTok included. I hope no one is left out. That said, unfortunately, the punishment is often a joke, which means these companies simply pay it out of their pocket change and then continue doing the exact same stuff. For example, France sued TikTok for something like 5 million $. Unless that number goes into the billions at least, I bet it’s still way more profitable for those companies to continue to absolutely sh*t on anything privacy related. So, in essence, nothing will change because of this. Not for US-based data privacy violators, not for Chinese-based. “Same shit, different country” has never been more fitting.
You’re absolutely right with this. I consider the fines a way from the state to get their share of these companies cake. Sadly they don’t really care they’re breaking laws
