Yes. Humans choose to allow other humans to suffer, over and over again. In fact, some of them make money from it, and then spend that money spreading the idea that it’s good for people to suffer because they’re not ‘normal’ (white, male, heterosexual).
I think you’re right but, also, we a tend to discount the effect of having the most greedy and sociopathic people in our society leading it and owning most of the assets.

Conservatives have always been good at framing the narrative. It helps them convince people to believe things that are simply not true. This is not a new strategy. It has been working for them for 60 years.
They really are. My mom is “pro-life” and religious, but when I interviewed her about exactly what she believed, she said birth is hard and would never want to force anyone to do it. I’m like… You’re pro choice then.
Death Tax, entitlements, handouts, illegal immigrants, family values, conservatives are really good at drawing arbitrary lines around their own group and then using doublespeak to make everyone else seem unreasonable. Tomes have been written on the subject.

Do they need to split off different departments? Since most of the stuff that Google dabbles in is digital, can’t they just start a few new companies with the exact same IP and split up the work force instead?
“Sharing” the IP wouldn’t really work. The point is to have multiple companies that are either not overlapping, or are competing with each other. If they’re all working on the same IP but with different work forces, then you either have single products that diverge as multiple teams independently develop them (No longer the same product) or you just have a single large company with extra steps.
But if you split Chrome and the browser team, from the Search Engine team, and from the Advertising team, then all of a sudden they’re not all just one stacked product anymore, and so while Chrome may currently have the lions share of the market, it’s now competing on the same footing as Firefox and the rest.

Just outlaw tipping. I HATE the tip tax, it only exists so that companies can cheat their customers and somehow they managed to convince some servers that it’s a good thing
If you think about it, the entire idea is stupid. Just pay your servers an honest living, put realistic prices on your menus and you’re done.

I’ve been to places where tipping is required while starting at fracking 25%. What the frack? And tipping is spreading as well. Now I can tip my baker too for giving me the bread that I just paid for. WTF?
But then the capitalists would lose a tool to keep the working class divided. That’s why neither party will ever get rid of tipping. It makes it easy to blame other working class people for your low pay and not the corporate employer who actually sets the pay.
If there’s one place I don’t want to be, it’s inside JD Vance’s couch cushions. If you could even separate them at this point, they’ve got to be crusted together.
That’s the best, and worst, part. The left just doesn’t ever need to create boogey-men because the right simply cannot help themselves but be just the fucking worst. They say it all themselves, none of that misrepresenting or twisting of words or anything, they just fuckin’ say how shitty they are all the damn time. And you can still double check to make sure!
