That’s a smart call. Working conditions at his companies are wild. You’ll be required to work 80 hours a week every week or be fired. But at the same time you’ll be working in a pretty building with young people and a great cafeteria where you sometimes go to nice parties.
Yeah, I get the point that Elon isn’t Tesla, etc. At the same time, at least for some owners, owning a Tesla isn’t just about just owning an EV, it’s about virtue signalling. And having the Tesla brand linked to Elon means that it’s harder to do this.
At the same time, rightly or wrongly, some people buy Teslas cos they’re the EV, and they get to show what great environmentalists they are (and that they have money haha).
That card got burned out years ago. Anyone who thinks a Tesla makes them look good, needs to join the guys still holding on to their Ed Hardy collection.
The real trick is just subscribe for a month, watch everything you want, then cancel. No more concurrent subscriptions. All you need is one when you want. Not all year.
Makes you wonder if the corporate elite class uses this issue (and other) just as a tool for control. Easy divide and move a population back and forth on hot push button topic. Meanwhile the top 1 percent… investment bank continue to hoard all wealth as we see it stripped away by inflation.
I will vote for a glib, anti union, pro corporate generic candidate because he / she “strongly” supports (or not) abortion.
Yes this is a cynical take and the abortion issue is important … just cannot shake the issue is in a continual cycle to keep people divided, distracted as they get poorer and work harder.
That’s been a big chunk of the political landscape. The Republicans and the Catholics are not natural bedfellows and campaigning on Abortion has been how they pulled a ton of them to the right. If the Republicans lose the Catholic vote, they will not win for 50 years, especially since they have been counting on Hispanic anti-abortion votes to cover what they lost on the white college educated elite in the long term.
Good ruling. If I’m just walking through public land legally carrying I shouldn’t be bared from an area just because of its proximity to water. 2nd amendment is clear on that.
Not at all a meterologist. But my understanding is that is effectively impossible? No matter how big the hurricane is, it rapidly begins losing strength once it is over land and not able to “refill” the water. So unless it is following the Rio Grande or Mississippi for an incredibly unlikely amount of time, it will die out well before it hits the midwest. Also, that assumes the droughts aren’t severe enough that those rivers are dry.
That said, enough seasons of this and the coasts will erode to the point that it won’t be such a stretch.
