Agree completely except for the vast underselling of BG3. It’s one of the best games in years IMO and as far as I can tell, Larian is up to few or none of the usual money vampire tricks that have disgustingly become standard practice of the industry! ✊️❤️
I did get BG1&2 for six dollars total on GOG, so I’ll be trying those out in the meantime. When I really got into the genre was Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny.
This was the game that popped my cherry. My very first game, links awakening was my second. Up to this date I still love Zelda but haven’t tried the spiritual successor to planescape “tides of numenara”.
I’m a picky gamer and very, very rarely buy games at full price (last one was Elden Ring) but decided to pick up BG3 last night to see if it lived up to the hype, and return it within the refund window if it didn’t. 6h later, I still couldn’t put it down.
One of those (sadly rare) instances where a game absolutely deserves the premium price tag.
My manager asked what I thought about our back to office announcement last month and I said it sounds like voluntary layoffs because if they cared about moral they would compensate us for going back. He laughed and said you’re probably right.
No one wants to talk about the thousands of extra bots that reddit released during the blackout and afterwards to keep up with the illusion. A whole lot of sub users on reddit are engaging with bots. In fact, some gullible people think r/place is run by users, and not the thousands of bots run by different subs, as well as reddit admins.
Also I would consider myself addicted. I use it daily, notice withdrawal symptoms when I abstain (no appetite, nausea, insomnia) but I’m also productive, started my own business 8 months ago and I’m doing well, no one around me has any idea except those I choose to let know lol. I’m high all day no one can tell. Its not like other drugs lol
You really can’t tell if you don’t know the person. I have a bright, weird personality and ADHD and work at a dispensary. People often think I’m high, assume that it’s part of my vibe, but I’m strictly no THC during the day. Meanwhile, one of my most down to earth, serious, no nonsense coworkers does dabs before work and on all her breaks. Nobody thinks she is high all the time, but she’s often the most THC filled person in the building.
