Bro legit took this one incredibly seriously and talked about the consequences of having to explain sudden freak accident deaths to pre-schoolers and how conspiracy theories would proliferate about Reagan being responsible because supposedly he had pushed for the launch to stay on schedule even when issues came up because the plan was for him to make s phone call to the crew of the ship from the SotU address that year.
Basically Reagan would go down in pop culture canon as being the man who murdered big bird, and whatever consequences that sprung from that would be the biggest shift vs present timeline instead of the obvious fact that big bird would be canonically dead since all the normal viewers would have seen him go up in a fireball and die.
I guess I was misconstruing based on how the trait to tolerate lactose came about (domestication of dairy animals). But lactose is in all mammal milk so guess I’m incorrect.
Man it was wild when my GI doc gave me the low-down on that. Like most everything in metabolic science its a “grey subject.”
Mammals naturally lose the ability to produce lactase as they wean off mother’s milk. However, humans, particularly Europeans and some areas of Africa have consumed dairy for long enough that we do maintain limited lactase production if it is introduced shortly after weaning. There is evidence in some areas of western Europe specifically, where life long production of lactase does appear to have evolved.
But for the majority of the world, yeah, they day we started weaning was the day we stopped being lactose tolerant.
But we don’t start that way. If we kept drinking breast milk since infancy, we’d maintain our ability to digest it just fine. It’s a “use it or lose it” situation.
Don’t ask me how I know this, but some parts of the bodybuilding community have been known to pay lactating women a surprisingly high amount for their breast milk.
There was just an advertisement for colostrum on one of the recent episodes of the Philip DeFranco show.
If anyone doesn’t know colostrum is like “early milk,” the immediately precursor to breast milk in lactation.
They’re trying to sterilize the concept here, but yeah breast milk is actually a thing in the bodybuilding and supplement community: ARMA is one of the biggest brands, I believe, if you want to look the stuff up yourself.
Someone asking to see my YouTube recommendations is a good test for red flags, too. I’m not interested in a relationship with someone who will judge me based on an algorithm.
The algorithm sucks anyway. I have to clear my cookies every couple days because all my recommendations starts to turn into weird manosphere stuff and DBZ videos. Sprinkled with a small amount of shit from channels I have watched recently.
I don’t watch YouTube on mobile, this app is an ancient Vanced version that doesn’t even work, and newpipe hasn’t worked for me recently either. If there is a YT vid I absolutely have to watch on mobile I rawdog it in Firefox with ubp
YT App patched with revanced still works for me, and the app uses less battery for me than the browser version. Privacy wise, the browser is presumably better, though.
Newpipe has hat two major fixes to account for yt changing the way it served videos. Wasn’t working for a few weeks for me either but since 1-2 weeks ago it’s reliably working again. So, maybe try and update to the newest version now to check if it works again if you are interested in using it.
