I don’t think that disagrees with my point. I simply think jokes are funnier the harder you work to get them. I too didn’t get it until seeing the arrow and label, but I would have found more enjoyment from a longer buildup and mental work to understand the joke than just having it served to me. Maybe I should add this context:
‘Explaining a joke is like dissecting a frog. You understand how it works, but the frog dies.”
It does have an interesting history and Bushmiller was an interesting person. If it appeals to you, Zippy the Pinhead creator Bill Griffith did a graphic novel biography of Bushmiller last year. I liked it.
Coffin Flop on Corncob TV is pretty good, but Comcast is trying to remove it from their broadcast lineup. They keep saying, “There’s no way that many bodies are falling out of coffins.” Then they tell me, “And there’s no way a quarter of them are nude.”
They think I’m just some dumb hick. They said that to me. At a dinner.
Came here to say being high and watching “I think you should leave” is some of the hardest I’ve ever laughed. One of my favorites youtu.be/7xS9Y_mjTjc?si=sZcDJlrb_wMuBN-k
I don’t have claustrophobia, but thinking about this dude is about as close as I get. What an awful way to die, and I can’t imagine how insane you have to be to enjoy this hobby.
