I think you didn’t realize this was a joke but that is my fault. I’m sorry…

kinsnik , in All U.S. Presidents Are Related -12 Year Old Girl Discovers That All But One US President Are Directly Related To Each Other

it doesn’t seem to be that uncommon to have some ancestry that was part of royalty: www.bbc.com/news/uk-59041055

Many of us will have shared ancestors. And if someone has ancestry in Britain going back to the Middle Ages, Prof King says it’s actually more likely than not they will be related to a branch of one of the royals.

He was also depicted as the villain in the Robin Hood tales.

    Feels about right.

jBlight , in "Hallow," a sculpture by Daniel Popper

This is absolutely amazing. Lucky draw for him to get the wood perfectly on the face too or did he plan that? Either way, it’s amazing haha

I’ve never seen it in person, but I think it’s probably not real wood.

    dmention7 ,

I don’t remember if I saw this one in person or not, but the Morton rotates through large, nature-inspired sculptures like this every few years. And you’re right, a lot of them will include natural materials but they are generally metal or concrete shells over a metal frame.

    Here’s their current installation: mortonarb.org/explore/activities/…/of-the-earth/

    BatrickPateman ,

If you allow some language imperfections as the author’s first language most likely isn’t English, the RC boat can also be considered a “remote operated vehicle” 😉

That was an interesting read and a not too deep rabbit hole to go down. Thanks!

Seems like a really slow way to make corn.

ArmoredThirteen , in Microsurgery Assistance Robot Stitching a Corn Kernel

In about three weeks I get to have a handful of little robot arms similar to these all up in my business! I’m honestly kinda excited I love robots and these ones are really nifty

Tylerdurdon , in Microsurgery Assistance Robot Stitching a Corn Kernel

Oh thank goodness! Now we have a way to save all the corn! That’s a huge problem to address!

    Catoblepas ,

I agree, we should leap straight to using it on humans without allowing doctors to practice on inanimate objects to familiarize themselves with it. You can go first!

    Tylerdurdon ,

Sweet! My cornhole could use attention!

Ultraviolet , in Microsurgery Assistance Robot Stitching a Corn Kernel

I wouldn’t trust Sony to have kernel access.

No_Ones_Slick_Like_Gaston , in Microsurgery Assistance Robot Stitching a Corn Kernel
