Let me start by thanking everyone that has joined fediverser.network and the ones who are already helping to categorize and create a map between subreddits and the recommended Lemmy alternatives. Y’all are amazing and I hope we can keep it up....
TLDR: This is a long post, so a shorter question you can respond to is:...

"After my last long post, I got into some frustrating conversations, among them one in which an open-source guy repeatedly scoffed at the idea of being able to learn anything useful from people on other, less ideologically correct networks. Instead of telling him to go fuck himself, I went to talk to about fedi experiences with...
Currently I’m more aware of general interest instances for both Lemmy & Kbin, and a few more focused ones (e.g. Mander.xyz/slrpnk.net/startrek.website), so I’m curious what others there might be....
I’ve gotten so tired of the non-stop reddit/lemmy/mastodon/threads drama I pulled the plug on all recurring donations for the foreseeable future. Thanks to threads the fedverse is starting the reddit style drama cycles and I’m pretty much over trying to sort through it....
This is my first day in the Fediverse, and I’m building out my sub list in Lemmy right now. I noticed that searching for Communities only looks within the instance that I’m logged into. Is there any easy way to search across all available Lemmy servers for Communities?
Within the first hour of threads going live, about a dozen of those im following on ig have joined (and began posting). When it’s fully federated, could this be the entry level platform the fediverse needs to push it into average use? I have a slight feeling it’ll be a BeReal type scenario where people use it for a few...
If anyone has a BlueSky invite, feel free to DM me. Elon Musk is making Twitter worse and he is limiting how many tweets people can view.
Woo-hoo today’s my cake-day on Lemmy.world… actually I’m the first here but many will follow the next days. Happy cake day to you all!
Before the scaled sort was introduced, the hope was that it would provide a solution to surface posts from smaller communities, without being overrun by memes and political posts from larger communities. However, the scaled sort has been ineffective so far, as most posts appear with a single vote, making it practically the same...
The 10 millon_th post to be registered at Lemme.world any minutes now ! Way to go Fediverse 🥳 !
Hey guys, with all of your help I would like to get a running list of apps for Fediverse platforms. In such a short time we’ve had so many apps develop and they’ve provided some incredible experiences. For those that have been on Fedi for some time, newer and those that will come, these client apps will play major roles in...
I think this has negative effects on the threadiverse because it tends to keep user’s focus at lemmy.world and in general keeps users to stay in their bubbles
This is shameless self-promotion, but part of a working theory I have that Mastodon users have more to offer Lemmy than your average Reddit user. See my other post about it here: lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/2174573...
In my experience, once a community reaches certain size, it grows organically. But reaching that cricial mass is hard....
I have looked and I see people make their own instance of lemmy...
It’s so funny seeing a large group (almost all) of the people in my feed being so excited about this new social media thing that they managed to get in through invitation on Instagram....

At this year's FediForum one of the breakout sessions centred around the Theadiverse, the subset of ActivityPub-enabled applications built around a group-centric model of content representation....
