I’ve dabbled with Linux and I’ve finally decided to try and switch to it for real, mostly because I’m starting a new job soonish that will require more Linux knowledge, but also because I’m getting sick of all the Windows privacy issues....

I am planning to go to india for studies (and maybe job ) but to do that i have to pass an exam . Don’t get me wrong i am not excepting to ace the test by studying under a month ( while studying a whole lot of other subjects too ) I just want to (barely) pass . I downloaded the movie ISS. It has some add for a website overlaid on top of the movie, and even ads in the middle. Is there a way to report it or something. I couldn’t even get qbittorrent to tell me where it came from.

A year ago I set up Ubuntu server with 3 ZFS pools on my server, normally I don’t make copies of very large files but today I was making a copy of a ~30GB directory and I saw in rsync that the transfer doesn’t exceed 3mb/s (cp is also very slow)....

I have a home server and I have some HTTP services running on it. I’m thinking if I should even bother with HTTPS, as I’m already using tail scale which should be peer-to-peer and encrypted. So I shouldn’t worry about any men in the middle....

I’m just sitting here thinking about all the hoopla around palworld right now and I was wondering what other titles out there have been in the controversy filled category in the past few years/decade? I can think of a few, but my game interests are kinda narrow....

Is there a way to normalize system tray icon sizes? Currently they just look awful on my work machine and growing or shrinking the panel just makes the disparity worse.

I currently have a Dell laptop that runs Windows for work. I use an external SSD via the Thunderbolt port to boot Linux allowing me to use the laptop as a personal device on a completely separate drive. All I have to do is F12 at boot, then select boot from USB drive....

I played this game back in the 00’s and had a pretty good time. My friend group was quite creative at the time so everyone got it. It was a raucous good time....

I went on a trip yesterday and I tried it, it sure didn’t seem to work at all, one person who is stubborn, slow or whatever can mess the whole thing up.
