Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to this, I’ve only been running Jellyfin on my laptop for media but nothing 24/7. Honestly, it’s not bad and I like it better than paying a thousand different streaming services. I also have some experience with Linux so this seems like a pretty fun hobby I’d say :)...

While it was an interesting and sometimes confusing experience setting up and running my own Lemmy instance (looking at you, 20 character limit on federation URL), I think it's not worth it....

Specifically how the deaths of so many of our soldiers affected families and communities.

I have been on the edge with twitter and reddit for a while and I have finally deleted my accounts that I have had for a very long time there. They are no longer the places I used to know, even more so with twitter. I am ready for my new time here and on mastodon....

Newbie here. Why does it say “Subscribe pending” when I request to join certain communities? And how long does it take to obtain approval?

I see so many YouTube videos of people running blatantly red lights and getting in accidents or other videos of people stopped and gunning it backwards, hitting something, then they put it in drive and launch full speed forwards and hit something else. Looking at a referb Omen with a Ryzen 5600 with a RX 6600m 8gbv bc it’s far more affordable than Linux specific options $900 vs ~$2500, and none of the Linux sellers appear to have a good all AMD option. This is probably not the right place, but I figured I’d give it a try. I’ve been trying to copy this website so I could have offline access when tooling around the Channel Islands. I could (and probably will), just copy/paste whatever info I need for my little trips, but the fact that I can’t copy it ass over is annoying...
