I’ve seen many instances of some software having DRM that significantly degrades the performance of the software, or worse, the performance of the entire OS due to heavy background tasks. Prime examples include Denuvo and all those Adobe background processes. Why can’t they just simply use the TPM or the other 5 security...

I was looking for a pretty niche indie game, but I wanted to try it out before purchasing… The only link that still works is made by a user who made their account 4 years ago and about 700 posts, but also 1 warning....
Title. Basically, a lower panel that shows the latest news, etc (fetched from a rss link or a sequence of rss links) while scrolling left (ala CNN). Why? It just has done nothing for me and from what I read, has not made any changes that would have solved my personal issues with it. I’m fine with others liking it and honestly wish that I...

Volunteers get to contribute to cutting-edge research and put their hardware to good use. This is a major...
Given how many people treat speed limits as suggestions, at best, having your vehicle obey the limit would turn some people off of them.
I want to add Pokemon Journeys to my jellyfin server, but jellyfin fucks up everything because it thinks it the regular Pokémon show from 1997 and imports metadata for that....
I used up play a ton of Doom mods years ago and a lot of the TCs were fun but lacked substance beyond the surface. Some of the new ones are cool but overly complex. (The Sonic cart game has an hour long tutorial before you start). I was a big fan of Simon’s Destiny, the Castlevania mod for Doom....
