What was the first ever distro you installed and used? For me, it was Mint as I seemed like the closest thing to Windows minus all the forced updates and chappy changes....

I just set up a local instance of Invidious. I created an account, exported my YouTube subscriptions, and imported them into Invidious. The first time I tried, it imported 5 subscriptions out of 50 or so. The second time I tried, it imported 9....

I’ve got two internal SSDs, of which one is smaller (128) and one is bigger (1TB). How can I tell podman (or docker) to use another folder? Currently, it sits on the smaller drive which has less and less storage.

My previous post was about one of the two kittens I saved being near death and the vet said there was nothing we can do and suggested putting him down. I put my laptop into sleep by just closing the lid and sometimes after wake up the clock shows wrong time and date which results into web sites not loading until I change it back and then I also lose logins to my previously logged in websites and have to re-enter the logins....

I had an extraordinary experience today, but it didn’t relate to a hobby or career or political topic. I tried to find an appropriate community but I guess I don’t have the right terms. Where can one turn to share triumphs, defeats, and sacred moments?
