Without question. I think CPS should apprehend every unvaccinated (outside of medical reasons) child and make it a condition of returning them. I know that won’t happen but surely that’s a sign of shit parenting and child abuse.
Look, if some parent does home schooling and doesn’t vaccinate because their child rarely interacts with large groups it isn’t the worst thing ever and doesn’t impose much risk to the general population. I mean the kids with medical exemptions who go to school are technically more of a risk than voluntary home schooling.
I am completely in favor of vaccine requirements for attending public schools, with only medical exemptions to not be vaccinated. No religious exemptions. But I am also not in favor of forced vaccination because that is too closed to other legal decisions about people’s healthcare like abortion bans. Bodily autonomy is important, and children shouldn’t be forced to do something we aren’t pushing to require for adults unless I missed some legally required adult vaccination movement beyond the fictional one antivaxxers pretends exists.
Calling not vaccinating children child abuse that requires CPS involvement is harassment if you don’t think it should be a legal obligation.
Bodily autonomy doesn't apply when the choices made can affect many more people than yourself. I also don't think the isolation excuse works, as diseases can have carriers giving them a route to those pockets that aren't protected. Pretty sure we've seen that kind of flareup before, with the antivac crowds confused as to what happened.
Kids with medical reasons why they can't get a vaccine aren't a risk to the vaccinated group, they are AT risk, but they are much more protected within that group than with a bunch of unvaccinated ones.
There’s a strong case to be made that for any society, the citizen’s rights to bodily autonomy should be secondary to the health of that society, especially when the procedure in question is so trivially easy to get and overwhelmingly safe to do so and (it should go without saying) when all objections to said procedure are based solely on political ideology.
The flip side of the rights granted to citizens from a society is a responsibility to that society, which is where the selfishness of conservative ideology is exposed.
The bridge is on S Pennsylvania Ave in Lansing, MI, hence “Penny”. Construction has routed more people through there than normal lately increasing the bridge’s hunger.
If there’s one thing people that rent trucks or RVs never learn, it’s the height of their vehicle (and that yes the flashing overheight lights are in fact for you).
“This Facebook video I watched while taking a shit totally proves the truth about vaccines that those people who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and nearly a decade of their life each to be allowed to prescribe are hiding from you!”
The problem is using feet to measure it. Whose feet? What size? Shoed or bare? So many possibilities involving feet, there’s no real way of crossing under this safely.
