Of course. It’s not political if it’s just The Way Things Should Be™
The two Races: White and Political
The two Genders: Male and Political
The two Sexualities: Straight and Political
Their views are never “political” because theirs is the “natural state” of things. They’re on top because they deserve to be, and they deserve to be on top because they are. It’s anything that deviates from that so-called natural state that’s being political.
Spot on. And notably if there’s anything “political” about the person, it is the first thing they mention about them in a conversation. Even if it’s not to say anything bad - it’s just how their brain works.
Because they feel affronted and so this is “perfectly acceptable” revenge/payback. They do it with everything… It’s also why they’re ok with dictator Trump. When he says in plain English that he is seeking revenge they feel the same way and want the same thing because revenge implies that they were initially “wronged.”
They always play the victim, it’s so absurd…
People: “Don’t be a raging racist asshole, just treat all people with respect.”
The right: “WAHHHHH! THE LEFT ARE AUTHORITARIANS WHO HATE US!”
Interesting that they target “manly, conservative men”… yet they look like they’re made of the saem cheap, shitty plastic most other disposable/cartridge razors use. And look at the ergonomic design… dont want their manly wittle hands cramping.
Politics aside, fuck cartridge razors and fuck products designed to generate trash.
yeah it uses this really neat semantic rendering programming language for serving structured documents across servers
It’s a bit tricky, but anyone with at least a Masters in CompSci should be able to parse some of it enough to get the gist. Bear in mind that the “source” is abbreviated to src, and “image” similarly. The rest is coding that gives the computer instructions, you’ll also need to replace FILENAME in the code with the actual filename. It goes like this
I’m just being a silly billy it’s not directed at you.
It’s more like “ah if only there was a simple solution that could’ve been used.”
All images are hosted somewhere, I would consider an intern fresh out of college know how to correctly add an image to an email, or at least only be told once if somehow they had never seen this before.
Multi-part MIME containing inline images is actually what you’re looking for and it’s fairly easy to implement.
Here’s an example. They handwave over the html section that actually refers to the inline images that they embed, but that’s the basic layout you need.
yeah, this is coolaide man apologist propaganda. weak as shit propaganda too. it’s his brother that has the addiction and runs around busting down walls for it. mr hotharm here is just trying to clean up after his sloppy ass sibling.
like, i get it. we all want to believe in nomative determinism, but addiction can effect anyone. don’t let big sugar water normalize busting down walls and assaulting children’s parties for a hit.
The “program” is the package of instructions that tell the machine what to do. The instructions are written in a programming language.
With a markup language, the markup is the input to a program (like a browser) that tells the machine what to do.
But I think it’s not really boolean, it’s a sliding scale. Especially with so many programming languages being interpreted or JIT compiled. I think it’s less a programming language than many other programming-related things, but more of a programming language than, say, a slideshow.
There is a wonderful movie about a dog fighting ww1 pilot who is a pig. Both pilots guns jam so they start throwing shit at eachother. It’s called Porco Rosso, it’s a wonderful film on Netflix(atleast in Canda). If you haven’t checked it out I suggest you do. "I’d rather be a pig than a faciast:
? It was pretty clear that the male characters’ behaviour was not being celebrated. Porco is troubled and self-hating, and Curtis and the pirates are explicitly villains. Sexism is real so I think depiction of it is necessary, so long as it’s not applauded or encouraged. I might even use it as a start point for talking about misogyny with my daughters one day.
It’s absolutely racist, and it was at the time. That doesn’t mean it’s not worth watching, it’s fantastic as a window into the culture of the time. It was super popular (among white people), and it helps to understand segregation and racial conflict. It’s one of the most important films of all time. What it portrays is absolutely disgusting, but that doesn’t change the importance of the film.
I don’t give a Fuck if I’m not fair to a movie. It’s a movie. It exists to entertain. I can’t be entertained if I’m distracted by obvious flaws.
I understand critical theory, and there are lessons to be learned from any piece of media. But real life isn’t film school. Racism sucks, sexism sucks, it is valid to say that movies that contain these also suck.
Like criticizing cavemen for not properly washing their hands. Our ancestors were fucking stupid and what’s obvious to us now was not obvious to them then. That’s why it’s a product of it’s time, a window to a past society, and a reminder of how far we’ve come. I’m not seeing anybody here celebrating racism or sexism and ignoring that it existed at all is a braindead thought-pattern. You’re arguing for the sake of arguing and it’s entirely unnecessary.
Everyone who argues online does it for its own sake.
If you don’t hold the position that Porco Ross is a good movie in spite of its sexism because of the era it was made, then you should not have responded as you did.
In 2024 the movie is not good and I don’t care about how good it was in the year it came out.
After working in a really big company for a while and seeing how incredibly degrading the hiring process is nowadays i simply woulnd’t want to apply for a job for those companies.
I just signed the contract for a much smaller company and the process was:
Apply online… via mail and just attaching some PDFs :D
"We are interested in you, we would love to do an interview. Can you come over or do you want to do this Online?"
Meeting them in person, having a nice interview and chat afterwards.
Agreeing to do this and sign the contract.
Thats it. No Booking time slots to getting interviewed bullshit. This is just ridicilous.
Even with big companies I’ve never seen one where the applicant had to find a schedule for the interview, instead of the recruiter reaching out out and checking availability. This is odd even for bigger corporations, or maybe times have changed (I haven’t applied for a new job for a while now).
They’re probably doing it on purpose to be able to claim “they can’t find qualified personnel.” That would allow them to file for H1B and hire a person from India at a significant savings.
I’m not sure who to report that to, but USCIS oversees the H1B program.
Got a hold of HR and it’s not a mistake it’s "due to high volume of applications we have so many slots available. We recommend you check it several times a day until a slot available. It’s a fucking scam and not playing.
What that tells me is they have such high employee turnover that their application process is just a disguised pool of warm bodies to pull from as needed. I’d avoid diving in if at all possible.
I think he should be saying “Hmm, no…?” Because “oh” is an interjection of surprise but “Hmm” is a murmur of premeditation. Also, the vibe of a hesitant question contrasts the excitement and assertive certainly of an exclamation point.
