resolved sucks imo. i usually disable it and manually set the resolv.conf, or use something else. it has no way to force it to check name servers in a specific order and it has a memory so it’ll use the same name server for multiple checks even if it’s not the right name server. if these things were configurable, I’d agree that it’s good. but they’re not and it makes it very difficult to use in a lot situations.

I’m worried about my Steam library. Steam ended support for Windows 7 not long ago. How long will they Support Windows 10?

Only 3% of Windows users are on Windows 7. Compared to 70% on Windows 10. When that number drops significantly, that’s around the time I’d expect Steam to drop. They’ll go where their customers go.

Will they start supporting old CPUs? I couldn’t install Windows 11 on my pre-gen-8 intel laptops, so I had to go with 10.

Nope, but they will support Linux. All the users who do not want Windows 11, AI spying on them, or don’t want to buy new hardware, will be going to Linux. So thank you in advance Microsoft, we appreciate it.

You can easily do that with some extra key bindings and channel commanders/whisper groups

Yeah that’s what we do, whisper lists for everyone who needs to do inter-section Comms. Everyone else is just in the discord channels. It’s not perfect but it’s worked for years now

No, it’s more tongue-in-cheek. 🤥 You unfortunately can’t, but what I do is export the backup of Kvaesitso from my tablet, sync it with syncthing to my phone, and then restore the backup on my phone. Despite not having all the apps on my phone that I have on my tablet, it loads perfectly. Any apps that are not listed just get ignored and there are no broken icons/links. So it very loosely is like my NixOS setup, getting two different Android versions to feel similar. That’s the most uniform method I have been able to come up with.
