Apex Legends works fine on my Steam Deck. It’s awesome now that there’s cross progression now finally across Steam, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo. I had progress across all of them and it’s all together in one account now.
I really enjoyed the last season of Fortnite. The OG season where they brought back the style and gameplay of how Fortnite was when it first launched its Battle Royale mode. The new season is very gimmicky and I don’t like it. But my younger brothers and cousins love it. It would be amazing to be able to play with them on Steam Deck. If Apex can do it, so should Fortnite.
Well its not completely true. They played a switzerland and sold stuff to both sides. They were only in it for the profit. But today swedes do realize how horrible that was but most people still dont connect the dots that norther europe still exploits the worlds resources.
I started using Lemmy since September 2022 I think, but I rarely open it, two weeks ago I was permabanned on reddit for report abuse, then semi-unbanned, so I deleted my account, and now I’m starting to use Lemmy actively, there are a lot more servers and users now and I found a new nice server.
I’m wondering if it’ll be similar to people switching from (convenient & centralized) Compuserve and AOL to (difficult but p2p) email and web. That took years.
They keep a/b testing and rolling out worse and worse mobile websites. They’ve gone and done it again. For any regular mobile website user that wasn’t affected by the 3rd party app issue, or for anyone who switched from a 3rd party app to the website because it wasn’t as bad as the 1st party app, well… Now it is. Now it’s possibly worse.
So, we might hope for a prolonged period of organic growth now. Especially if Lemmy doesn’t get flooded with meta discussions again.
Because I dont want the most vulnerable folks in our society to just fuxking die. People have chronic conditions that require daily medical care that would not be available for the vast majority of folks in an anarcho capitalist society, if they were available at all. I used to love fantasizing about zombie apocalypses and the fall of society myself, untll i realized my partner who is a Type 1 Diabetic probably wouldnt live long in that future. Wanting an anarcho capitalist future is the highest indicator that you live a life of extreme privilege and dont care about fellow human beings.
Okay, fair enough, and I am by no means intending to criticize you for your kindheartedness here, but that’s literally the opposite of economic theory, which concerns itself primarily with achieving the maximum output possible given a certain input.
Also, consider that this does not mean that it is therefore by nature entirely inhuman and incompatible with caring about people, but rather that the ability to achieve a high productivity is required in order to have an excess of resources than can be used to care for those who cannot care for themselves.
If you think about it, this is in fact essential to maintain human life. Children for instance always require more resources than they can produce, so parents have to be able to produce more than they need for themselves if they want their children to survive. Same goes for society as a whole — the productive members have to be able to produce an excess or the unproductive (weak, sick, or old) will starve.
I made a number of well-reasoned and coherent arguments, to which responded with flippant one liners.
You’re free to convince me that I misjudged you by actually making an argument, but I’m afraid your childish insults aren’t going to change my mind anytime soon.
So you are saying we will produce in excess and give all of the excess to people who can’t produce (children, weak, sick, old…) So from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs?
