I’d pay 3 times the amount of a regular ticket to watch the scene where Terry Crews, in a gorgeous ball gown, is dancing with Prince Charming, and when realizing it’s almost midnight, flexes his pecs, and yells goodbye before disappearing into the night.
Prince Charming then goes around trying to find the perfect pec flex. Alternatively, bicep circumference would also be acceptable as a glass slipper alternative.
For Snow White, we need Danny Devito, Warwick Davis, Bridget Powers, Daniel Radcliffe, Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, and Nicolas Cage for the roles of the dwarves. For the Wicked Queen, Andy Samberg, and the mirror is Margot Robbie using the Harley Quinn voice. If Margot is unavailable, we have Tom Cruise as Les Grossman as the mirror.
Elijah really needs to start leaning into how fucking weird he has allowed himself to become since LotR. And I know he has a little, but clearly it’s not enough.
Cinderella would be the prince going around with barbells trying to find the princess (Terry) who can lift them. Only he can carry the prince down the aisle.
I’d watch that. But there should be a really good musical number called “Everything is rape without consent” or something… It probably wouldn’t be appropriate for the target audience, but yes I agree with the point you’re making: Snow White & Cinderella are way fucked.
I mean if they're going to remake a movie, they should go out of their way to make it as different as possible. I for one would love to see the direction of a film with this casting goes.
I'd like to see a comedy where the Snow White story is playing out but the dwarves and woodland beings all choose Terry Crews. He's like, "Nah guys. I'm a carpenter. I think you've got the wrong person.". But they aren't hearing it and strongarm Terry into the role. The evil queen is the only other person to get it and they have to team to to fix the story.
Invest in a solid charger (30-40€ will do). You’ll keep it for years, it’ll charge an odd number of batteries as well (unlike some cheap ones that only charge in pairs) and it charges just the right amount, then stops. Some even have battery test/discharge function, and charge more than just AA/AAA.
Then invest in a bunch of rechargeables, possibly Eneloops or something good from Amazon.
Now profit for years to come. The planet will thank you as well.
Honestly single use consumer batteries should be banned.
The Liitokala charges seem nice. I’ve got Lii-PD4 for €13 on AliExpress. Unfortunately I didn’t have any extra money to spare for one with discharge capacity testing, otherwise I’d get the Lii-500.
Just be careful not to accidentally press a button on it right after inserting the battery, while the percentage is still blinking, otherwise you may happen to accidentally override the charging voltage and e.g. give the battery 4.35V instead of 4.2V. boom.
Why would people do this? We want the hughest amount of users we can, and for most people to believe in FOSS or even copyleft philosophy, but this just pushes people away. Just use whatever app you like best and maybe donate to incentivize the app you believe in. But to just relenlessly mock non-FOSS apps only hurts the community and doesn’t foster growth.
I mean isn’t that true for literally every user that doesn’t pay? I’m not sure why we are mad at Sync users when we don’t even have a strong call to action to donate to instances.
Reddit wasn’t wrong about that fact. One of their biggest problems was the official app had not been able to do most of the things the third party apps could do.
But it’s fine if I cost an app dev their time and instances money and give nothing to no one? Genuine question because I don’t understand all the sync hate.
I just said we pay. You seem to think I’m talking about Sync.
I’m not. Technically, I guess I could be talking about both server and sync.
What I’ve seen on Lemmy is I can say I paid for Sync and donate to the server and someone will need to come along to tell me all of that money should go to Lemmy.
That’s too either/or. And it’s making Lemmy look… incapable of nuanced thought. Or entitled.
It’s not everyone, but it’s common enough it looks really odd.
Given the thousands of games predating that glorious feature of Duke Nukem 3D, I bet there’s a floppy disk out there with a game devoted to toilets. Perhaps even a text based game about toilets!
I use a Logitech Marathon M705 mouse that lasts 3 years on two AA batteries, according to Logitech. I’ve got Eneloops in it that I’ve been using for around 10 years now, and I’ve had to charge them maybe 4 times in total?
