But, I reached conscientious about the availability and capacity of Lemmy instance(servers) to multimedias and videos, whether uploaded or embedded....

I’m trying to move away from Google and other big tech corporations as much as I can without sacrificing practicality but it seems like the only way to make contactless payments is with stock android on a Google approved device....

What I mean is, why not just a bi-directional mirror, with several servers in the larger users goes? Can the federation API be leveraged to just do that to address the dramatic load increase? Folks firing up Lemmy servers all over that only have a tiny portion of unique content are likely to provide poor experiences and stress...

So, couple years ago i started to learn about tech, programming and self hosting services thanks to redditors ( not reddit the evil corp ), and found lots of communities where they pointed me to good resources but then ended up allocating more time to learning programming to switch career into that field and finally got it....

One of the best things about reddit was looking for answers or other users with the same problem as you, and since Google didn’t really help with that anymore and instead insisted on giving you business results, the best practice was to put your search terms in followed by ‘reddit’ and you’d find your answer.
