A safe space to tell all about your weird ass dreams

So basically 24 hours after posting, there is almost no contributions coming in, and after another 24h, it’s nearly impossible to see anybody chipping in to the subject in question. Everything goes silent, almost as if it didn’t matter anymore.

I’m looking into advanced distros (like arch) and slackware is fascinating. Is it still supported/used? If you’d like to comment an alternative distro, please do.

Is there anybody whose had experience with both?...

It seems to be in error because I’ve seen posts show up and I just made this post obviously....

Had an exchange of emails with someone, around 4-5 back and forth emails. He then told me that my last reply never arrived. When I forwarded that email again to him, he told me that actually the original reply arrived but landed in spam… he checked it after I forwarded the initial reply....

I got a Quest 2 a while back and played around with it a bit. There were some entertaining games like “I expect you to die” and the first portion of “Lone Echo”, but mostly they just felt like proof of concept demos and I quickly lost interest....

So I’ve been starting to look further into the Fediverse and using it a lot more than any other part of the internet at this point. I wanna know the reasons why people might prefer Lemmy or Mastodon, I have both but seem to lean towards Lemmy for some reason, but not sure why maybe it’s the simple design and you can find...

Looking for some new ways to use my phone beyond reading and comsuming media....

There’s been an add-on called Privacy Pass for a few years now. This plugin gives you 30 passes for CF and 5 passes for hCaptcha when you pass a captcha. For example, once you solve 1 captcha for Cloudflare, you will not see 30 captchas again! It will automatically pass....

It makes it clear the direction of movement and how the user has to position themselves so they can ride it without thinking about it- but it saves power from slowing down

I use an iPhone and my fiancé uses Android. He is not very tech savvy. He does not like to text for privacy reasons. I was going to recommend we get Signal but see others in Lemmy talking about Matrix. Is that better? If so, what app is best that works on both our phones? Thanks Lemmy friends!

The spotify app keeps getting worse by the week. At this point it won’t load my saved song list at all when I’m offline. While writing this, it just crashed in the background....

I’m considering building a new machine soon and was looking at the Intel Arc GPUs as a possibility. Anyone have experience using them in their system? I’m on Arch btw

As a user, the best way to handle applications is a central repository where interoperability is guaranteed. Something like what Debian does with the base repos. I just run an install and it’s all taken care of for me. What’s more, I don’t deal with unnecessary bloat from dozens of different versions of the same library...

i love asoiaf but it’s hard to start rereading atm of course
