Ubuntu just started renaming files while exporting (sending over mail, KDE Connect, Whatsapp web). The folder is my google drive, connected to my google drive. Sometimes it looses its file ending/type as well. The file is called something like: “1Kfhgsji2rjfIS-fi3oo598nf8ajlfoi.pdf”...

I was trying to post a video but it wouldn’t show up as available to upload in Jerboa, is this a per community thing or is it across all of lemmy? It would make sense because videos are inherently a larger file size, if that is the reason
Finally decided to convert to the penguin. I have live booted mint from a usb, without installing it yet, on a macbook pro 2017. But none of the WiFi networks in my apartment are showing, except for a few weak ones. Help a newbie out :)...

To start off, I just want to say that Kega Fusion is a wonderful emulator for pre–Sega Saturn emulation. However, the fact that it is not open-source concerns me. What if something happens and the person is required to take it down? (Not likely after 14 years but still…) Or hell they just decide to take it down for whatever...

I use rEFInd as my boot manager and sometimes I like to dual boot a new linux distro (just to try out) which I install with a live USB. Unfortunately, after installing, GRUB has always taken the reigns and it becomes a slight inconvenience to get back to rEFInd every time....
Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I don’t have to go to work for a few days. But I don’t quite get the same excitement for the weekend that I used to. I hope that you do! If so, how do you cultivate that feeling?
