I was watching the tv series on Apple TV and got hooked. The pace was a little slow though and some parts of the plot seemed over worked and drawn out. Nevertheless, the premise for the show was so intriguing to me that when the first season ended on a cliff hanger, I opted to jump into the books instead....

I read The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, and take enjoyed it. Read another book, then started reading Devil and the Dark Water by the same author. I got about 25% through and just decided to drop it for something else. I’m not an avid reader so i never know if I should stay committed or not.

I know we pretty much all hated spez for all the shit he pulled, but a few weeks ago the tone towards reddit itself around here was more neutral. People liked it here on Lemmy a lot better, but people weren’t hating on the old place so much....

Any instances out there mostly facilitating moderated debate? This could be a big deal. Especially missing great communities on Reddit like CMV, Debate*, *101, etc

I used to be able to use my joystick buttons on a lot of games but now steam won’t detect them. Windows detects the buttons but steam won’t. Is there any way around this?

So what goes into writting a book, can anyone do it, ive been wanting to do many things for a while but i think sense i was a kid i wanted to write a book or even a short story or something that i can publish. the thing is i have major dylexia, i tend to not plan things and instead write on the spot, also i have partiall ideas....

Is there a community for peertube similar to !mastodon? I feel like peertube could really use some sort of lemmy driven community engagement. Particularly because it integrates so well into lemmy. It reminds me of an old extension that would replace youtube comments with reddit discussions when available.
