These and Instagram seem to be the main locii of conversation for a topic I’m interested in. Instagram is a no because Meta. Just trying to keep myself off of the big data mining sites and search results are a bit of a hot mess....

Recently I’ve gave up Windows for Linux and installed Ubuntu with KDE Plasma desktop on my pc and laptop from 2007. It’s an i7 Intel processor with 8gb ddr ram so I thought it would be fine, but it seems quite sluggish. What distro could I use that would be faster and still fully functional? Thanks for your help in advance.

As many already know, nvidia is not the best choice for linux and amd is always recommend when it is brought up, so here id like to ask an equivalent to my graphics card in amd, i know nothing about amd and dont really know where to start honestly....

So far my experience with Nextcloud has been that it is a pain in the arse to install, and once it’s installed is slow as anything. Literally couldn’t run it on my pi 3b, now got it up and running pretty nicely on a NUC but it’s still not great. Have caching set up....
