Maybe find a middle ground, like sharing the hosted service with just one or two persons, like a close friend, family member, etc. Could be someone you live with or that you can give VPN access to your network. That way is more private and mainly for your self, but also has some sense of doing it for others to motivate you.
All the music files had strings of characters added to their file name. All of them. In every folder and subfolder. The names were long, VLC displayed them in marquee.
In that player those changed names didn’t show, but un any other player and file manager they did. Which I found out when sicmu started having playback issues and I opened VLC.
That was perhaps the 2nd or 3rd version of it posted on FDroid. I used to search for a folder player a lot and so tried the first version posted there, it was great until that update.
I am not in the US. I don’t like to buy second hand smartphone in my country. It is either overpriced or straight up junk, be it in the local equivalent of craiglist or in specialized store. However, It is the solution I would prefer if I can get a spare phone from someone I know (given or bought). But I have not been lucky yet. Most people I know use their phone untill they stop working or there is no sd card.
I used to use Mortplayer on Android for years which played FLACs and used folders well. I don’t know the current state of the app, but it might be worth looking into.
Some of the old LG phones (the V series) were known and sold for the quality of their audio. If you can find one of those on eBay it should be pretty cheap.
I agree with this. I have one that I have kept for the audio. I loaded a 512 Gb card it it and it is perfect. Now i just need to seriously expand my music collection.
The OG Galaxy S had a dope Wolfson WM8449 DAC in it. I used the Voodoo sound app to get proper drivers on it and it became the best sounding phone I ever had. It drove my 250 ohm Beyerdynamic headphones with ease.
I ate at a fairly well-known cafe where I live, and had a sandwich and side salad. I finished the salad, and near the end I felt a weird crunch in my mouth. Suddenly I could taste blood near my gums, and when I looked at what was left of the salad I could see broken glass.
Obviously, I was a little panicked, and my wife quickly called someone over to say that there was glass in my food. One person stayed with me while the manager went to the back, and found out that one of the chefs had broken a glass on the table, but had just washed the salad clean rather than throwing it. By this point I was really embarrassed because around 30 people were staring to see what was happening, given that I had blood coming out of my mouth
I said that this was probably in other people’s food, so they should probably tell others, but instead of responding they handed me cash to cover our meal, apologised, and walked away. I shouted at them to say that they shouldn’t ignore it because others were eating the same salad. My wife chimed in and told everyone that we had found glass in the salad and that they shouldn’t eat it.
I’ve never gone back, but a few years later I had told someone that story and they said that they’d heard a rumour about it from locals, so it seems that people remembered that story and stayed away.
very inaccurate measure. for countries with average low uplink speeds most of them use hosting sites rather than torrent. this is basically a map of how good your internet quality of service is times your population.
My dad always told me the squeaky hinge gets the grease. Generally I try to make it eady at first, but if nothing works, thats when its time to start getting angry.
