I am horrible with directions. I keep my Google Maps going when I drive for that very reason. In games, I just use the built-in map. If there is no map and the world is not made of unique geometries and settings then I am out. I will have no way to navigate.
No. And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, either. I’ve been doing this for decades, and I still have to learn something new on the regular. The one constant in life is learning new things, IMHO.
This is exactly what I did but it’s not pulling them. Might be on Lemmy’s side perhaps?
Edit: it’s not pulling in preview images like in the screenshots. It’s pulling article images from other feeds like Hacker News though when you open the full article.
I set this up and like the UI but it does that stuff where it says things like “Hey you have duplicates do you want to remove them? Oops sorry you gotta pay for that” and “Hey we noticed you’re using a adblocker”. Everything has to be a subscription service these days.
If you want someone else to do work for you and pay for expenses upfront for you, you should expect to pay for thator have your interaction with that service be sold to advertisers at a minimum.
Sure, but I don’t think it has to be a subscription nag. They’re free to monetize as they wish but I don’t have to use it either when non-subscription alternatives exist.
Unfortunately some of my favorite games are no longer around in a playable state.
I friggin loved Atlas Reactor but it shutdown in 2019. Another all time favorite, which is still around but does not have the community to keep it feeling alive is: Shattered Galaxy.
Other games I think deserve to be in the all time best games of all time list are:
I had a really hard time liking ff9. Im not sure what it is about it. 8 was my favorite. Was it a really slowr paced game or something?
I might have just been burn out as I got into this kind of game with 8, then played 7, then almost right away I played 9. I guess I got into them around the same year that 9 came out.
I still remember seeing the preorder for it in the game store.
Just depends! Well designed world with distinct level features and/or a good map? Yee it works out well. Lotta samey territory with little to do between areas? I tend to struggle.
I replaced my aging NUC with a Minisforum SFF box and am also very happy with it. Footprint is slightly larger, but actually find it much quieter. The NUC was basically silent 90% of the time too, but it had an annoying high pitched whine if you were doing something very CPU-intensive.
Depending on model they can support up to 2 m.2s and a 2.5" drive.
