I can answer the question the other way around. What should have helped me but ended up hindering me?
University. I had undiagnosed ADHD, and 2E gifted student syndrome, so I went in to university with the world at my feet, only to fall hard. I never finished university, and ended up with a debt that took me years to pay off, and a complete loss of self confidence
Wezterm is my primary. Love the built-in domain/sshmux features, especially for work. The LUA config rocks, sky is the limit. Highly portable when using something like Chezmoi or YADM.
That said, it’s not always the most performant, especially with certain TUIs. I’ve been running my NVim workspace in Kitty lately just to avoid the minor UI lag (primarily with lazygit). Not a fan of Kitty (or its dev) otherwise, but it serves its purpose.
If Wezterm ever gets optimized, it’ll be the GOAT for me.
Ghostty also sounds like it’s got potential, but haven’t gotten my invite yet. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
In Norway it is common to find quizzes in newspaper websites that question you on different topics and score how well you align with the various parties. They’re great at both introducing you to current political hot topics while also orienting you about the various parties that exist, of which there are far more that two that are viable to choose from.
Parliamentary systems at least choose parties, not people. This means that the most popular party, not person, will have a greater share of power. It’s harder, but not impossible (looking at you, Geert Wilders), to get a Trump.
Meanwhile I mount the ISO, copy paste its contents to a ~150 GiB FAT32 partition on my HDD I used for backing up PS3 and then modify grub.cfg so GRUB can pass the correct arguments to Linux kernel.
