Stormfront is still a thing! I actually looked it up a while back to see if that cesspool is still going. Found a fascinating post by one user claiming that vegetables and greens (as opposed to meat) make men weak and that brussel sprouts are, in fact, a jewish conspiracy.
I like to think of it as a digital kiddy pen for the dumbest of racists.
Stormfront is the grandpa of nazi racist sites. They’ve been blaming Jews for everything since way before these modern social media platforms were even imagined!
Boomer take, but going from NES to the SNES and seeing the advances in sprites and animations in Nintendo games like Donkey Kong Country, Link to the Past, Yoshi’s Island, and Super Metroid was really mind blowing.
Also seeing the early days of more cinematic approaches to storytelling in SquareSoft games like FF IV, VI, and Chrono Trigger. Those really forshadowed how games would mature into a serious storytelling medium for me. FF IV’s opening scene on the airship and the music is still burned into my brain.
The transition to 3D the following generation was also insanely impressive obviously, but none of those games have aged half as well as the 32 bit era.
German (native), English (not native-level but compared to my work colleagues I might as well be lol) and some American Sign Language (I can carry a simple conversation as long as I may fingerspell words I don’t know yet/anymore)
I’d stay clear from those “clients”. I had a quick look and holy shit, they have stores with ridiculously predatory prices for skins. That’s 100% exploiting kids and their parents. Fuck that. Nope nope nope.
Use Prism. It’s open source, has existed for a very long time, works well and has been the goto on Linux for a while, and is actually a real launcher.
