Hello everyone,...
It seems like rumours and suspicions have solidified today. So I was genuinely interested to see who was presenting the 10 o’clock news this evening – and how the current BBC-related story was covered.
You are serving yourself pasta and you have zero access to tomato sauce. All you have in your pantry is ketchup (catsup.) Would you eat the plain pasta, or add ketchup for flavor?...
I don’t tend to eat much fish, but in the supermarket earlier I saw some smoked salmon which didn’t need cooking, and some salmon fillets which did. They looked the same really - both ‘raw’. I decided to buy some of the fillet. It was nice, but a very different flavour from when I’ve tried smoked salmon in the past....

I’m trying to understand how an app would even get that info in the first place, how that’s classified and why a mobile operating system even has a way to provide that data....
I’m thinking of things like heliocentrism where there was some modern discovery or revelation by science that invalidated a common assumption prior....

It seems like for at least a decade every application/framework has had their own paste buffer, and honestly I’m surprised this isn’t “just working” out of the box by now....

Hello
Sorry if someone has already asked this. This is my first post on Lemmy. I mean, I guess you could ask the same question about Reddit but I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be Read-It. But what does Lemmy mean? Is it a cute word for a small lemon?
I grew up going to church but I'm not religious now and I never really understood this part....
So Podman is an open source container engine like Docker—with “full”^1^ Docker compatibility. IMO Podman’s main benefit over Docker is security. But how is it more secure? Keep reading…...

What I can say? They all are great! Some are better than others, but still is very enjoyable, why there is so mixed reviews about it? I can understand some specific complains, but that dosen’t make it bad.
I just moved into a new area, well in area that I used to live in and I remembered how lame it is. Most shops close at like 9:00 or 10:00. No nightlife to speak of, super family friendly and squeaky clean. Picturesque suburbs but I feel like I’m honestly trapped. But then it occurred to me. There might actually be something I...
