Seems to my ignorant eyes that we could always somehow split the power received into more manageable units, even if it has to be splitted a million times, 🤷♂️.
I know this has probably been asked before but I am currently using Arch and wondering if my choice is the best for gaming. What are the thoughts from the community? I have an AMD Ryzen 7 processor with 64 gigs of RAM and a decent AMD GPU. Gaming seems to be okay on Arch but I am wondering if I’ve overlooked something better....
Its the strangest thing, as it just started recently. I’m honestly not sure if it freezes or my touchpad somehow gets disabled. I’m wondering that because most of the time it happens, my dell xps laptop isn’t under any sort of heavy load. Its strange. Idk know where to start or what commands would help you guys help me?...
First of all, I want to clarify that I have 0 relationship with the development of this project and I am simply a Linux user who always wanted something similar to IDM and I want to share my discovery with more people, with the hope that this program will become more famous. ....
Edit to say - I’m really glad I asked my stupid question. I was so jaded by the con artists in recycling I forgot that when done right there’s so much good - and still loads of consequences to not finding a place to reuse the paper products. I’m not huge with using packaging - and thanks for all the thoughtful answers :))...
I’ve happily been a Fedora user for many years now, but RHEL’s recent choice to put their source code behind a paywall has me pondering ethical considerations of my distro choice....

I don’t want to block all nsfw content but I really don’t want to have to block every new porn community that pops up on lemmynsfw. Is there a way to block all the communities that originate at lemmynsfw?
They work by giving you a random email address that is available for a short time (ex. 10min) and an inbox for any messages you recieve during that time (ex. an email verification message from a Lemmy server)...
Perhaps this is a dark thought… but I’m wondering what the future Lemmy equivalents to “We did it Reddit!” or “Thanks for the gold kind stranger!” will be....
Looking for some good headphones to use for listening to music, and gaming. Could do wireless.. but I feel like USB or 3.5 mm connection would be best. Seems like a lot of the big brands have stuff locked into their windows apps....
If I’m an adult who wants to experience splashing around and wading round the pool, but whose swimming capabilities extend as far as doggy paddling to safety and floating on my back - what can I even do to have fun at the pool?...
I would like to share my jellyfin movies and tv shows with my friend. I was thinking about allowing only his IP address to connect to my jellyfin server....
