Not that you didn’t already know it intellectually, but shit like this really pushes home how much of a scam Catholicism, and Christianity in general, really are. I mean they’re claiming this guy healed people? Over the internet? What’s the difference between this and those Faith healers that scam people all over the world?
I mean is this really a case where a bunch of old people think a kid is Magic because he can make the internet work?
There’s a local saint here and one of her “confirmed” miracles is that a guy with somewhat bad eyesight, but not so bad he couldn’t live a basically normal life, prayed to her and got 20/20 vision. Seriously.
Seriously. Would you trust the Israeli government to tell you where to be if you were a Palestinian at this point? You’d have to be suicidal to trust them.
Though I’m trying not to respond to you, it’s a good question. I don’t think anybody, including me, can explain how global oil markets really work. Those that can are making money right now and aren’t here. I’ve done a little spot market trading, and it is very reactive. Traders overprepare for events and always in worse case scenarios. I believe they overprepared for middle east war, and Iran’s attack was such a failure that they all reversed at the same time.
He will always be remembered for his fearless investigations. Especially the one where he conned a Russian agent who had attempted to assassinate him into giving up sensitive information.
All large news orgs and NGOs need to do the same - federate their server which becomes the source of truth, and then mirror the content over other social media which is not federated. This may or may not include Twitter. I imagine that over time having news and reporting across social media will diminish any advantage Twitter possesses and then news orgs / NGOs might decide if they want their content on a platform like Twitter that cannot be bothered with things like stamping out bots, trolls, inauthentic actors, or supporting a free and fair press.
France has had quite a few for example. Although these were more organized terrorist attacks than lone gunmen.
But most shootings in europe are most often done with air rifles or small caliber weapons, access to automatic weapons is extremely restricted and rare. So the death toll is also much smaller. For example, school shootings in my country (which borders the czech republic) are very rare and make big headlines but most often result in a few wounded, not dozens killed like the US.
Not to detract from the sentiment, but automatic firearms have been fully banned in the USA for 40 years now and have been illegal in most of the country since the 1930s.
I think Israel right now wants to be Ukraine. Ukraine has won the people’s hearts by fighting so hard despite overwhelming odds. They’re paying with their lives to stop Russia not only from destroying them, but also from invading other parts of Europe.
I’ve heard Israel actually wants sympathy too, and get jealous of the support given to European nations when they get hit by terror attacks or random disasters like the cathedral burning. Israel should understand they are a military base in the middle of the Muslim world. They are percieved as a colony. And seeing the amount of military aid and impunity they recieve from the Europeans and America it’s only strengthened that view.
Well, the naming of the article has sure aged liked milk.
Any pro russian dumbass can point to it (without reading it, of course) and scream: “SEE SEE! THESE EVIL UKRAINIANS WANT TO KILL ALL RUSSIANS 😭😭😭😭” while the article just says they need to focus on security and intelligence which (until now) Israel was known for. The attack shows it wasn’t really true.
They should feed the homeless free borgors in USA and Europe instead, and just leave the great Mother Russia. Burger King is fucking mediocre in India.
They’re very mediocre in Canada. But that said, they’re cheap as hell compared to their counterparts. And I’d argue, in many urban centers they definitely are feeding the homeless, just charging for it lol.
You can get two cheeseburgers, fries and a drink for $6. You can get a pack of nuggies for $3. You aren’t getting that sort of bang for buck at any other commercial fast food place around here. Something like that would easily cost close to $10 if not more at mcdonalds.
I always tell my wife if I was homeless, she’d find me begging for change at the intersection closest to a burger king.
Well, I would prefer cooking raw materials myself if I were that poor. For $6 I could cook myself a day’s worth of food in India, but that probably cannot be said about Canada.
Yeah it’s been a bit tight. Like surely, for $6 you could definitely get more food at the grocery store, but being that poor often involves not having the proper equipment or space to really cook anything. But yeah, our grocery store situation isn’t pretty right now. Fresh and healthy foods are expensive.
Depends on what you’re eating. Even in the most insanely priced areas, beans and rice tend to be pretty damn cheap, and North Americans do not eat a lot of rice or beans or chili or other cheap foods that are staples in lots of Asian diets.
How does this make sense? They lose money from giving away free burgers and lose money from leavig Russia. Why would they do this? This is like when George Michael throws a banana away for every dollar he steals from the cash register
Borgors are not very healthy, and these big brands induce a capitalistic slavery mindset among non-rich people. Burger King exports USA culture as well.
He brought it up with Modi in private in India before he left. Explains why the mood of the public meeting was so grumpy
Mr Trudeau said in parliament on Monday that he had raised the issue of Mr Najjar’s killing with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the recent G20 summit in Delhi.
I heard a right wing sound bite on the radio a while back where they were saying “if you’re unsure and don’t know just vote no” Instead of informing and educating. Just put your head back in the sand. Inspiring stuff.
I’m sad for the indigenous folk that will have to go through this nonsense much like our queer friends did during the run up to the gay marriage plebiscite.
