Accounts which solely post advertisements, or persistently post them may be terminated.
the most egregious example I can think of is antiwork in reddit. Posters there love to rant against companies, but they also give good advice regarding laws in different states and is a good source to deal with micromanagers and toxic workplaces....

I found my old CDs of starcraft and brood war, and managed to get them up and running, but everytime i exit the game - i3 stays on the resolution game used ( so it could even be xorg related ). Any tips on how could i set it to not do that
Ths might be a silly question, but asking those is how i learn sometimes. I’m trying to install my first Linux distro to set up a Plex server and one of the few things I know is you need a wired internet connection. My intended server location is across the house from my router, and there isnt much room there to set up...
It doesn’t freeze here too often, but when it’s going to we’ll go outside and set our faucets to drip to prevent freezing. I just have to remember to do this, and I worry that I’ll forget. Do those faucet covers work? Any other options?
I’m on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. Latest NVidia proprietary drivers on 1080Ti. Proton 8-4 crashes faster than Expiremental, but both still consistently crash....

When I was young, I played a lot of air-combat games. If I remember well I learned the Ukrainian geography while Bombing Russian troops in Odessa playing USNF Video for the kids . Another game had a campaign in Yemen. If my memory isn’t too rusty, there was also Egypt and Korea campaign....

I came to lemmy months ago to get away from the rising reddit infection of hard right activist powermods that use their authority to harass their ideological enemies. For a while it was really nice, to be able to engage with a likeminded community without getting banned for saying things like ‘cheetolini is a seditionist’...
I was scrolling through top/day, and all the memes are criticizing America. Oil memes and stuff like that. Why is that (not the memes in themselves, but the near unanimousness of the themes)?
