How do you use Tailscale?
I’ve read a lot of recommendations for tailscale and am on my way to try it out myself. Do you use Tailscale in the “normal” way or do you host your own Headscale server (as I’m planning to do)? Any pros and cons?

My main server is named Postulate (an idea that you assume for the sake of argument), my desktop is named Axiom (a proved postulate), and my backup server is named Corollary (an idea that follows from an axiom)....
Edit: as the comments said, I used the incorrect word. What I mean is “tolerance”
I wanted to download a book that is no longer in print, but I discovered LibGen is down on the .onion and on the .fun domain, the .rs domain gives some scary warning message from my router about child pornography. What happened, is my dear LibGen gone?
People using their communities to link to like communities because the fediverse/thrediverse is so vast and it’s not as easy to navigate? Maybe, eventually finding a way to consistently open links to other instances/services in a way that opens it in your preferred instance/service (some sort of protocol or extension). Our...
I legitimately find it difficult to long term stay annoyed with people who have wronged me. I have close friends and family telling me how ridiculous it is I’m still in touch and friendly with people I used to consider friends but briefly cut them out after they treated me horribly. I can see the logic and feel as though I...
Thunderbird 115 introduced a new look. I hate it. Not only does it no longer fit in with KDE Plasma, it lost functionality due to it’s new integrated search bar in the title bar....

I want to unlock the ability to view content on my mobile device. I can do that with a one-time purchase (payed with google opinion rewards) or with a subscription. I want to unlock the ability for my entire family though, across multiple devices. Do I have to pay the “one-time payment” for every device? If so, the plex...

I use this account for normal user things, but I want to auto-post social media content in a community I’m in (!taylorswift) which I own. (The content will probably just post 0-3 times a day)....

I am already self-hosting a lot of things for 15+ years now, including git, but I am looking for a solution like Github that is federalized (not Gitlab or the like)....
I need something like that in my life. A lot of them can be somewhat reactionary and sometimes a little right wing. Not always completely but I think sometimes it can get weird.
I get why World and many others defederated from Burggit. Obviously it has questionable content which is not great to have stored on big servers for legal reasons....

by far my favorite console of all time since i first got it, i love pretty much everything on it. someone actually ported a game to the gamecube in the modern day (albeit it needs Swiss, a homebrew app to run) and it’s just so cool to see that it refuses to die
