Are there ActivityPub servers that can see others without necessarily connecting to them to better enable connections?
By this I sort of mean like, in the case of Lemmy for example, something like a built-in Lemmyverse of sorts....

I want to upgrade some of my older machines with some new, high(er) capacity SSDs (SATA and nvme). I don’t need super high speeds, just something in the TB range in terms of storage....
I’ve never had to use Windows 11. I have Windows 10 on my main machine and toy around with different Linux distros on my spares....
TMB has been on my wishlist for years but the price tag has been too high… this week I noticed it was in stock and a bit of extra funds had came in as well so I decided it was time to finally buy a copy....
So, the issue at hand is, I have a Chromecast 4K with Jellyfin Android TV on it. And most of my library is x265/HEVC. But, whenever playing from this specific device, it will natively take HEVC, but with exoplayer library it plays kinda like a slideshow, at about 5-10FPS. Choosing VLC should be ok, and forcing a transcode will...
The last device I own that doesn’t run an open source operating system is an iPad. I basically use it as a laptop most of the time with a keyboard case, but I do like being able to take just the screen to use as a drawing/note-taking tablet. I played it a bit when it came out but decided to really dive into it this time. Just wondering if there’s anyone here who’s played it and has...

Hey, what’s up. I’ve been trying to get my phone (oneplus 8) all perfect again, after I recently decided not to use fingerprint security anymore. I now use a password, which feels right, but when I’m just sitting at my desk it feels like overkill to have to retype it so many times when I’m just checking little things....
I’m looking for a timer applet that can go in the system tray where I can put in a time and it will count down and give me a notification when the time is up.
I just tried to download a book from zlibrary and got this we gem...
About a week ago, I tried to download one of their games but for some reason, every single game/app they ever released is completely missing from the Google Play Store. I can’t even download them through my library. I tried sending them an email but they never responded. Both their social media and their website seem to be...
