Kirk sticking around?
It’s been fun seeing so much of Kirk this season, but does that mean he’s now a regular? I don’t see how he could take a position on the Enterprise for years yet, so would that imply he just keeps coincidentally visiting all the time? Starts to strain plausibility after a while.

Baldur's Gate 3 not launching

The opposite of "Ladies and Gentlemen" would be "Whores and Scoundrels".
Which sounds rad as fuck. Like how you’d open a speech for the Guild of Calamitous Intent.
Does Guinness give you nitrogen burps?
From a networking perspective, does the Fediverse strike anyone else as "optimistic"?
Usually, when you open a website, that site might be pulling live data from somewhere, but it’s from a database on the same server. If you click a Fediverse link, and no-one else from your instance has already done so, it seems like your instance has to contact a remote site, pull the data and render it, in the same timeframe...

Brief report on ElecGear Hall effect analog sticks for Steam Deck
A few reports over the past month on Reddit (www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/…/jq251yj/ and reddit.com/…/psa_elecgear_hall_effect_sticks_are_…) indicate that ElecGear does not suffer the infamous outer dead zone issue featured in e.g. GuliKit V1 and V2. On the corresponding Amazon page ElecGear also advertise that...

State of Android emulation on Linux (with viable 3D performance)?
On Windows, the go-to emulators are Bluestacks and NoxPlayer (both closed source), especially when gaming is concerned. Unfortunately they are not available on Linux, and the Nox devs’ dismissive attitude towards Linux also makes it unlikely they’ll ever make a Linux port:...
Any recommendations of countries to block from server logins?
I run my own email server, and a friend received a compromised laptop from work which resulted in a spam attack from Russia yesterday. Turtle settings saved the days with thousands of emails still in the queue when I saw the problem, however it made me realize that everyone with accounts on my server are local, do not travel,...

Jellyfin audio is always out of sync
About a month ago I set up the arr apps to download media. I was using Plex but have recently decided to try out Jellyfin. With Plex, I could easily adjust my audio offset for anything that wasn’t in sync. In Jellyfin I am not seeing this option and everything I have downloaded is out of sync by about 50-100ms....

Why is it usually advised to power off your computer to have Bluetooth work again if it stopped working after a kernel update?
Often with a Linux kernel update, or even after a first install of Linux in place of Windows, Bluetooth stops working and the advice is usually to just power off your computer, wait a bit, and then turn it on again. Bluetooth then miraculously works again....
Windows+Mint Dual Boot: Food boot record after replacing the disk that had the boot record?
I had multiple disks in my PC, one with Windows and one with Linux. The drive with Linux had the boot record I guess; I removed and replaced that one with a new disk and again installed Linux on it (so the Windows disk has been the same the while time), but I can no longer log into Windows while this new disk is installed and...
