My main account is [email protected]. However, as of roughly 24-hours ago (it seems this has been going on since March 10th and gotten worse since) it seems like the server has stopped properly retrieving content from lemmy.world....

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I don’t have to go to work for a few days. But I don’t quite get the same excitement for the weekend that I used to. I hope that you do! If so, how do you cultivate that feeling?
I use rEFInd as my boot manager and sometimes I like to dual boot a new linux distro (just to try out) which I install with a live USB. Unfortunately, after installing, GRUB has always taken the reigns and it becomes a slight inconvenience to get back to rEFInd every time....

Just wanted to share something I did, still very amateur when it comes to bash, but I wrote a script to disconnect bluetooth controllers after I close my emulator. I’m sure there are better ways to do it, but this is my way of coping having lost DS4Windows PS+Options quick disconnect-...

I know that Podman is more FOSS and I like it more in theory, but maybe it’s better to start with docker, for which there is a lot more tutorials. On the other hand, maybe it’s better to straight up learn podman when I don’t know any of the...

I have many services running on my server and about half of them use postgres. As long as I installed them manually I would always create a new database and reuse the same postgres instance for each service, which seems to me quite logical. The least amount of overhead, fast boot, etc....
To start off, I just want to say that Kega Fusion is a wonderful emulator for pre–Sega Saturn emulation. However, the fact that it is not open-source concerns me. What if something happens and the person is required to take it down? (Not likely after 14 years but still…) Or hell they just decide to take it down for whatever...
